HER - Chapter 10: Killing the Game, 'bout To Catch A Body (1)

The first time I woke up with Hera sleeping right next to me, I knew then that I want to wake up every day seeing her face only inches away from mine, hearing her breathing while embracing me.

Be it accidental or not, I don’t care that she slept with me in one bed.

The second time, when we shared the same tent, holding hands with her was already enough for me but I woke up again that she’s comfortably sleeping on my chest like I’m her pillow.

She always rejected my feelings for her but I know deep inside that she likes me too and she’s just denying it for some reasons that I don’t know because she won’t let me understand.

The reason I kissed her in public even if she resisted, was because I’m so sick and tired of hearing that we’re just friends and couldn’t be more than what we were.

I wished she just slap or kick me after that kiss but her words stabbed me straight to the heart.

She told me that she didn’t feel anything towards me with a cold gaze and left me alone completely stunned and broken after it hit me.

The next morning, I went to Washington with my father to attend seminars and trainings but instead of focusing on what I’m doing, I couldn’t help but to think of her no matter how hard I tried to distract myself, she’s always in my head and nothing or nobody else but her.

I returned to Seoul Sunday afternoon, after a week in Washington, she already broke my heart but still I couldn’t get away from her knowing that it’s her birthday, so even if she made me a broken-hearted man, I can’t stop loving her.

If I’m a minute late arriving at the burning orphanage, she would’ve run through the fire just to save the child she cares the most that she could’ve take her life away if that child dies.

Hearing her said those words, I’ve got no other choice but to save the child for her to live on.

I might be crazy for running inside the burning building but the only thing in my mind that time was to save the child and make out alive.

I heard someone crying and followed the sound, that’s when I found a girl standing at the remaining floor on the second level.

I asked her to jump and she bravely threw herself onto me, we barely made it out alive if not for my quick thinking of hiding in the fridge that I saw while we’re avoiding the falling debris.

The ice was melted and we’ve been soaked in water as we stayed inside and waited for the fire to be extinguished.

Before we ran out of oxygen, we finally got saved after hours soaking in water inside the fridge.

When I saw Hera running towards me and the girl, after checking the child’s condition she thanked me by showering me with kisses.

If I’m dreaming that time, I don’t want to wake up anymore and stay in that dream when she finally showed some love for me.

But before that night ends, after all the craziness that we’ve been through the entire day, she gave me a kiss of life.

We started dating though she set some rules for me to follow since I’m still in college and I have to focus with my studies too.

I could spend two nights with her in bed but we can’t do what married couples do until my graduation.

Tuesday morning, we just got up from bed, when someone come knocking on the door.

Hera’s in the bathroom so I opened it up after seeing a familiar man standing in front of the door.

“You’re Zeus Nevaeh, right? Hera’s younger brother.” Looking at his surprised reaction when I opened the door.

“You, what are you doing here??” he said while staring at me with murderous intent in his eyes.

“Who is it, Jun?” Hera stepped out from the bathroom. “Zeus …” her expression darkens as she lay her eyes on his brother. “What are you doing here? Why are you here? You’re not supposed to be here.”

“Lolo wanted to make sure that you’re coming home today.” Zeus replied. “What is he doing here?” glaring at me.

“It’s not what you think it is.” clearing the misunderstanding. “Hera and I are keeping our relationship as pure as possible.”

“You don’t have to explain him anything, Jun.” Hera clinging onto my right arm. “It’s none of his business.”

“How could it be none of my business when there’s a man in here??!” Zeus said frantically. “As far as I know you two are not married yet, so why the hell are you living together?!”

“Because we love each other.” Hera answered that makes Zeus staggered. “Jun and I are going to marry in the future anyway, so I don’t have to worry that I won’t get married to any other man if they found out that I’m living with a man, that’s your concern, right?”

“I don’t approve this future plan of yours, I won’t, never.” Zeus scoffs.

“I’m not asking your permission.” Hera sneers at him. “I’ll do what I want to do, I’m marrying who I want to marry.” pulled me closer to her and tip toeing as she kisses my lips.

I don’t have any idea what’s happening between them but this is my first time I’m feeling uncomfortable kissing Hera while someone is watching us being affectionate to each other.

“The party starts at 7 but you have to be an hour early.” Zeus closed the door as he walked away from us.

“Sorry.” Hera pulled away from me.

“Why do I feel like I’m being used to make your brother off? As if you’re making your ex-lover jealous.” saying what’s on my mind.

 “He’s not my ex-lover, he’s my brother.” frowning at me.

“Yeah I know, I’m just comparing the two, because that’s what I think of the situation.” I responded to her. “You used me as an excuse.”

“Are you mad at me?” wrapping her arms around my body.

“How can I stay mad at you if you’re looking at me like that?” lifted her up to sit her on the kitchen counter. “Will you explain to me what happened earlier, I’m a bit confuse about your relationship with Zeus.”

She spread her legs and wrapped them around me as she put her hands on my nape. “Do you want to talk or kiss? You can only choose one.”

“You’re not playing fair, Hera.” kissing her lips as I pull her closer.

I thought we’re finally doing it after I threw her out to bed and took my shirt off but she stopped me when I’m about to kiss her again.

“Not today, I got my period and it’s my first day, so we can’t.”

“You’ve got to be kidding me, you turned me on and now you’re telling me off just like that?” feeling devastated.

“I’m telling the truth, let’s save it later, alright sexy man?” staring at my chest. “Ooh, this is really the best body I’ve ever seen and touch.”

“Hera, you can see and touch more if we continue.” still pushing my luck.

“Nah, I’m good seeing my hot lover half naked on top of me right now.”

“Ugh, Hera.” laughing out my frustration as I lay down beside her.

“Sorry, baby boy but today’s not your lucky day.” kissed me before she got up from bed. “Oh wait, aren’t we forgetting something?”

“Aside from we should be making out right now??” I said jokingly.

“I’m supposed to prepare breakfast for you, you should be taking a bath a right now and getting ready to go to school.” she said.

“Don’t wanna, I’m not in the mood to go to school, I won’t gonna absorb anything from my classes anyway because you just turned me down.”

“Sorry, I’ll make it up to you next time, alright?” giving me a flying kiss.

“Next week, you must let me in, deal?” looking between her legs.

“I’ll think about it.” chuckles. “Which reminds me, we made a promise to do it after your graduation, right?”

“What??” frowning at her. “Some promises are made to be broken, and making love after graduation is definitely one of it. Also, even if we do it, it won’t affect my studies, though I’ll be more motivated.” getting up from bed to take my shirt on the floor.

“Ahaha, so naughty.” laughing at me. “So, if you’re not going to school today, will you prepare the breakfast instead? You cook and I take a bath.” putting on the apron at me. “You look so hot wearing that apron while half naked.” tapping my shoulders.

“I can take off everything and just put this apron on me, it’s way much hotter.” smiling seductively at her. “Do you want to see it, girl?”

“Seduce me next time, boy.” kissed my lips. “Now, I leave the chores to you, thank you luv.”

“What can I say?” shrugging my shoulders. “You’re welcome.”

I prepared breakfast plate for us and even if I’m done cooking and setting up the table for us, she’s still not done bathing.

I managed to tidy up the bed as I wait for her but when she came out from the bathroom only wearing her bath robe and towel on her hair, I feel like I want to devour her at that moment.

“You didn’t have breakfast yet?” opening her closet. “Since we’re riding your Harley, I can’t wear my dress yet, so I’ll just have these pants on first along with this shirt.” showing me her clothes.

“I’m fine with that.” hugging her from behind. “You’re turning me on again, Hera, should I take off my shirt along with my pants this time?”

“Jun, behave, alright?” taking my hands off from her before I untie the robe. “Let’s eat real food, I’m not your meal.”

“But you’re more delicious than real food, baby girl.” kissing her neck.

“That’s cannibalism.” pushing me away from her. “Spare me, please.”

“Ugh, fine. I’ll take a bath now to relieve myself, such a mean girl.”

“I’ll wait for you to finish bathing and … m**********g?” teasing me.

“I’ll be out with only towel on, let’s see if you still can resist.” smirks.

“So, you’re getting back at me, huh?” smiling at me. “Go ahead, let’s see what you’ve got for me.” up for my challenge.

When I got out from the bathroom with only the towel wrapping around my lower body, she dropped the bacon back to her plate while staring at me from top to bottom.

“You like what you see?” feeling confident about my body.

“Uh-huh.” nodding her head. “Why did I ever provoke you??”

“Now, regret what you’ve done to me.” turning my back against her as I get my clothes in the same closet where her clothes are.

“You!” she exclaimed. “You don’t even where your underpants in the bathroom!” watching me put my clothes on.

“Don’t watch if you can’t take it, I don’t want you to have a nosebleed.”

“Who- who’s going to have a nose bleed??!” stuttering. “I’ve seen everything before so I know what it looks like.”

“Then why are you acting shy right now?” turning my head to her as I put on my pants. “I really love that face of yours when it’s blushing.”

“I’m not blushing, it’s just that it’s hot in here.” fanning herself.

“You’re the best in denying what’s already obvious.” zipping my pants.

“If it’s already obvious you don’t have to say it out loud, you’re making me feel embarrass.” looking away as she tries to continue eating the breakfast, I made for us.

“I waited for you to finish bathing but you didn’t even wait for me to have breakfast together.” sitting beside her as I put my shirt on.

“I haven’t eaten yet until now, so I technically waited for you.” she said while avoiding my gaze at her.

“So, you’re only pretending to do something when I came out from the bathroom. That’s cute.” teasing her more.

“Let’s just eat, alright?” glancing at me shyly. “Do you want to have lunch with my family, later?”

“Huh? We’re going this afternoon at the Nevaeh residence instead of later evening?” started eating my breakfast.

“I think I should properly introduce you to them instead of showing you off to everyone in the party.” looking at me.

“Showing me off, was that what you intend to do at first?” holding her hand. “Are you that proud of me being your man?” smiling at her.

“Mmm. You’re perfect so how could I not be proud of you?” she said.

“I’m not perfect it’s just that I truly love you, Hera.” intertwining my fingers with hers. “You bring the best out of me.”

“Every time you sweet talk with me, you don’t know how much my heart flutters. Having a quite romantic lover, isn’t good for my heart.”

“It’s a sweet talk, I’m telling the truth.” chuckles. “You’re making me a great man, and one proof of that is I’m not lazy anymore.”

“Well you’re not only lazy when you’re with me.” seeing right through me. “I hope you don’t only do things for my sake but for yours too.”

“What I do for you is for myself too so it’s technically the same thing for me.” I responded. “Anyway, let’s do that, let’s have lunch with your family.” continue eating using my left hand. “You and Zeus won’t argue again, right? I don’t know what’s with you two but I hope you two talk it out and settle things.”

“There’s nothing to talk about, I just despise him that’s all. Him and I have nothing to with each other, that’s the only way we can be harmonious together.” she said with sad eyes. “Promise me you don’t tell to everyone later about my argument with Zeus.”

“I promise, even what happened after that. I’ll keep it all to myself.”

“You better be.” smiling a bit at me. “Now, let’s finish our breakfast and get ready to go to meet my family.”

Easier said than done but meeting her family with a short notice makes me feel nervous that I’m about to lose my breath anytime.

“Hera, is that you??” Poseidon, his 2nd younger brother, walked towards us when we arrived at the South mansion’s parking lot. “Long time no see, sister.” hugging Hera with a big smile on his face. “I was wondering who could be riding in tandem with Aermacchi Harley-Davidson SS-350 that have an engine of 21 cu or 350 cc in two-stroke single.”

 “You know I can understand and speak 8 languages but I don’t get what you just said, brother.” Hera hugging him back. “It’s nice to see you too, Don, how are you doing?”

“Well, I’m only a semester away from being a college graduate and have my adventure at the sea.” he pulled away from Hera. “Is he the one you ended up in the newspaper last month?” noticed me looking at them.

“He’s Oh Jun, you’re older than him over a year.” Hera glancing at me.

“Hello, I’m Poseidon, you can call me Don, that’s what everyone calls me.” reaching out his hand to me.

“Nice to meet you, is it alright if I call you just Don or you prefer me calling you Don-hyung?” shaking his hand.

“Don is fine with me; Toto doesn’t even call me Don-hyung so you don’t have to be that formal to me.” smiling at me. “And speaking of Toto, he’s with me in the car.” looking behind. “I think he’s being shy, let me get the baby boy of our family.” walking back where he came from.

“I think he doesn’t want to see me.” Hera sighing as she looks at the path where Poseidon go. “Toto is 6 months older than you, now that I think about it, you’re too young for me.”

“Well I presume I’m older than your youngest sibling Hestia, so I’m not too young for you.” wrapping my left arm around her waists. “Also, you don’t even look older than me with that beautiful face of yours.”
