"Do you wanna buy the popcorn while I buy the tickets?" I ask Desire.
"No, I want to buy the tickets. You buy the popcorn," she had a suspicious smile on her face but I ignore it and let her have her way.
We're at Genesis deluxe cinema on our second date, so far things have gone smoothly. I enter the theater and the movie has already started, it's dark and I squint my eyes to find her. I scan the rows and spot her at the third row, she waves at me and I head there.
"So which movie did you pick?" I ask as I take my seat.
"It's a horror movie," she says and I shout. A man sitting in the next row turns to me with a frown and I apologise.
"What! A horror movie?" I ask.
"Yup," she says and grabs the popcorn from my hands.
"Desire I don't like horror movies, they terrify me."
