{Chapter Five: AKIN}
The water cascades down my back and slowly soothes my aching muscles. I close my eyes and sigh in pleasure. The doctor banned me from seeing Desire until I go home and take care of myself. I must admit I was starting to feel sick, some sleep will do me good. Then I remember I'm due at work tomorrow.
I really don't feel like going anywhere.
My phone has been blowing up with calls from friends and coworkers but I don't have the strength to reply to any of them. I don't wanna break down again. I'm tired of crying. I step out of the shower and wrap myself in a towel, I stare at the bed and it doesn't feel right to sleep on it knowing what happened there the other day. I'll have to start sleeping in the guest room till I can get a new mattress.
I move to the guest room and flop down on the bed. Sleep comes easily and I drift off to a dream filled sleep. I dream of the happy times when life was rosy. I dream of the day I met Desire.
{FLASHBACK}
The sun beats down on my back as I bounce the ball and move, sweat dribbles down my face, I feel my muscles strain as I pose ready to throw, everything else around me becomes background noise. The only thing I hear is the beating of my heart, my main focus on the basket. I jump, throw. The ball rolls around before falling into the net and I hoot.
"For your mind you be champion," teases Ifeanyi.
"Abeg leave my guy joor." Femi says as he swings his hand around my neck and punches me in the side.
It knocks the breath out of me and I chuckle. Emeka throws the ball at me and it hits me in the stomach. It knocks the wind out of me for a moment and I double over to catch my breath.
"Seriously." I yell and he chuckles before taking off.
I sprint after him and the i***t laughs around the court like a hyena. These are my best buds, my pals, we've been together since secondary school and will probably be together till we're old and grey. I turn my head around mid laughter and that's when I see her. My steps halt immediately and I stare mesmerized by her beauty. I can't take my eyes off of her.
Her hair is braided into two cornrows and the ends curl at her shoulder. Her skin colour is intriguing, she seems to be a half caste, her oval face is strikingly gorgeous she has a baby face. There's a mole at the top of her upper lip that makes her look even cuter. She has a smattering of freckles around her shoulder. She's dressed in a pink tank top and jogging shorts with trainers, as she jogs her breast bounces and let me not get started on her chest.
It's huge. She's got wide hips with a fat ass. She's quite a buxom lady and in my opinion, an absolute goddess.
Oh God if I get my hands on her ..... She won't stop screaming my name.
Did I mention she's sweating, yup she's sweating and not just any sweat. I'm talking soaked, she is soaked in sweat. Her top is wet with some parts light pink and most parts darker in colour. There's sweat all over her face, dribbling down to her chest as she moves but she's still a magnificent sight.
I think I'm drooling a bit.
"Oof," suddenly the ball smacks me in the face and I fall flat on my derriere. My friends hoot with laughter and I hiss in irritation.
"i***t ... Mumu you see fine girl your brain scatter," mocks Ifeanyi.
"Guy get sense joor." I say. I turn around and she's nowhere to be found.
"Ahn ahn, where she go?" I ask.
"See you .... Person wey don go tey tey when you dey there dey plan how many grandchildren una go get," jests Femi.
"You no well." I hiss and I stare transfixed at the spot she occupied earlier.
I have a feeling that's not the last I'll see of her.
