The drive over to her house was wrought with tension, caused by my overactive mind obviously. I'll be picking her from home, I'll meet her parents and it's just the first date. What if they don't like me? Meeting the parents means I'm committed to her, do I wanna be committed to her?

I got to her house much sooner than I'd have liked. Of all the days for Lagos to be traffic free it had to be tonight. Her house is a sprawling mansion, considering it's located in the upside of Lekki, her parents must be loaded. I get out of my car and press the ringer beside the gate.
