Melody's POV~ After Dominic leaves, I also walk inside the kitchen. Without wasting any more time I start working on a Red Velvet Cake which will be served at the dinner tonight. To make this red velvet cake, I start by whisking together some dry ingredients like cake flour, unsweetened cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. I like to use cake flour because it has a lower protein content than all-purpose flour which creates a softer, lighter cake. There’s also 1/4 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder in this cake so the cake isn’t super chocolatey, but it has a hint of chocolate that is expected in red velvet cakes.
