"Teacher, we are at girls apartment. What will be the next instructions?"
Kerry wanted to get closer to the silhouette, but she was just like driven into the ground from this wonderful view but at the same time she was in doubt about if that's wise thing to do. Few seconds and in front of them both was standing, more precisely, flew a middle-aged man. But the man had no flesh and skin, he consisted of the green dust of light that protruded from James' ring. The guy took everything calmly, not even a muscle changed in him. The girl, on the other hand, stood with her eyes wide. The man looked up, he was dressed in a long dark cloak, though he all was in green because of the green dust of light. The man had a beard, a pointed nose and hair reaching to his shoulders. His eyes, though shining, certainly radiated vigilance, but his gaze was cold.
The girl became a little uncomfortable, the thought came to her mind, but she immediately gave it up. Surprisingly, the young guest turned to Kerry and spoke:"Don't worry, I won't hurt you, I can't do it in this state, - he said, spreading his arms and pointing to himself that he was completely harmless, "You can safely do what came to your mind."
The girl hesitated at first, but after getting the courage, the girl slowly approached the man. She reached out. With a slight movement of her hand, Kerry slid her hand through the man's abdomen. The green dots moved with Kerry's hand, but immediately returned to their place, forming a man's torso. Looking at her hand, she lowered it to the side and backed away a bit.
"How... How that is possible?"
"Dear, you will not be able to understand everything at once. But if you listen carefully, some things maybe will become clearer to you. But if you don't mind... before I start telling you something, I will ask you a few questions. But just to find out how much you already know. You will then be able to ask me questions. Deal?"
"What do I know? Almost nothing."
"Maybe let me judge it?"
Kerry nodded lightly, barely noticeable, but it was enough for the man.
"Do you know who we are?"
"Didn't James tell you what he's already told me?"
"Please answer the questions. It doesn't matter what he has or has not told me. I want you to answer for yourself. I feel that you still doubt what you know. Maybe if you finally say it out loud, it will be faster and easier for you to accept it."
Kerry wanted to object because she thought it was a waste of time to answer questions he already knew. But she stood silent.
"So again... do you know who we are?"
"Guardian angels. At least James is, about you I'm not sure. As far as I know, you are his teacher, but are you also a guardian angel? I am not able to say."
"And what do you think.. what is our occupation?"
"Protecting people?"
"Protecting from what?"
"From... from demons..."
"Very good. But in daily life people cannot meet guardian angels or demons, right? And ordinary people don't even know we exist.
"What do you mean with that?"
"I mean, my child, that ordinary people can't see us. So the next question is - why you can?"
"Because..." Kerry couldn't tank anymore. Until now, she had not dared to put these words over her lips, because then there would be no way back, she would have to believe everything completely. She would never have imagined that saying ordinary words can be so difficult.
"Because?" the man asked again.
"Because I have the "vision" and also the crystal."
"Do you know why? Why it is in you?"
Kerry shook her head, she had no idea why. It seemed to her that it was an accident. But maybe not? How could she know that?
"Do you know what this crystal is, what it does?"
Kerry wanted shook her head again, but she remembered that she knows some things.
"James said that this crystal returns to Earth every two million years. That very, very long ago some evil reunited with one of the Guardians and redistributed the crystal in half. It has given them immortality and tremendous strength. But it was not enough for the Evil One. Galloping the Guardian with one of those swords, both have disappeared from the surface of the Earth, there are various theories that they have reached the parallel world or elsewhere, I do not remember. And now that crystal returns to Earth in two stages, that is, in two separate pieces or something."
"You are not so badly informed, you already know some things."
"I had good teacher." she looked at the James with corner of her eye.
The man ignored that and continued:
"Okey, now you can ask me questions, but I don't think it is.."
"Do you have a plan? Like... you will get it out of me, right? Why it's happening with me?"
These questions derailed the teacher, because for a moment it seemed to Kerry that his eyes widened, it only lasted for a few moments, but long enough so that it would not slip unnoticed.
"Kerry..." James started, but his teacher stoped him, saying that it's ok.
"I can answer one your question already. No, the crystal can't be taken out of you. It is just impossible, James should tell you that," James wanted to say something, but the man stoped him with a hand hint," but for the rest questions, why it happened to you, we do not know ourselves. But we are working on it. So we have a plan... sort of. You don't have to worry about it yet, because no one knows what happened yet, but it won't be long. Even I can already feel the slightest presence of a crystal without being next to you."
"You feel? How..."
"James will explain later. What you should remember now is that for the time being you will have to stay in James's presence, he will look after you, but please do not see it as a reproach, it is for your own protection, he will help and defend if the need arises. Am one more thing. James, I won't be reachable for a while now, so find a safe place, I wouldn't recommend staying here. Be vigilant and please do not do nonsense. Contact me in two days."
Kerry was about to ask what kind of nonsense it was about, but then the teacher turned to the girl, nodded, muttered something like - until next time, and just fell apart again into the millions of tiny dusts of light that had returned to where they had come from, in James' ring."
There was an awkward silence. The girl could only hear her loud heartbeat.
