Prologue
"That happened before us."
"Unfortunately. But can it be fixed?" as always frowning Professor K. tried to find logical solution.
"What do we do now?" asked the assistant.
"Is anyone conscious?" Professor was interested.
"Not yet," - assistant answered, "no one is awake since the explosion except... her.
Everyone looked at the little girl, whose even first teeth had not slipped. The baby stared at strangers calmly without crying at all. The girl was in the centre of the broken glass dome, surrounded by Professor K., his personal assistant and his team. Exploring the large room, the condition of all the people in the room before the professor arrived with the team was fickle. Everyone had lost consciousness except the baby. Above the dome, on the grid auxiliary bridge, the woman lay unconscious, across her - a tool cabinet.
"Above us is the mother of the child," looking at the tablet, the assistant searched the database for information, "most likely she was trying to save the child."
"We do not know that, find the video from the camera D176" on the other side of the grid bridge, opposite the dome to the wall, a man with a light battery inspected the undamaged cameras facing the dome, "hopefully we will be able to see who was really to blame for the explosion and what happened in the end."
"I hope so. To lose such a valuable source of energy... rarely we encounter rocks that emit an unusual current of energy themselves. After all that had happened, it would be a real satisfaction to condemn the culprit" the Professor half said it to the others, half mumbled to himself.
Everyone gathered around the woman holding the tablet, she found a recording from the camera. The quality was not very good, at the end of the video everything went out. After watching it, everyone turned to the little girl again.
"But... how?" woman faded, "What... what are we going to do, Professor?"
Professor K. meanwhile had left, turned his back on his comrades.
"Professor?" she repeated.
"It must not be disclosed to anyone. To no one, do you understand? We will tell the mother that the child did not survive. At the end of the recording, it is not possible to understand whether the baby is alive or not, so by showing the recording, she will have no reason to question what we have said."
After a short pause in silence, the professor continued "We will hide the child from the eyes of the outside world until we understand what we are dealing with, God only knows what this girl will be able to do when she grows up. And what in the end, not to mention the side effects, she will become."
