At night, Kerry had the same dream of a little girl. She survived every moment, at the end little girl cried and she was again taken by a huge figure and faded with him. As he faded, Kerry woke up and sat down on the bed. She breathed heavily. She was all sweaty. The girl breathed fast and looked into the darkness. She tried to calm down, she looked at the phone, the clock showed five in the morning. The heart started beating at a normal pace. As a result, Kerry's eyes gradually closed again, the nervous anxiety disappearing, sleep prevailed, and the young girl fell asleep again.
It was eight in a few hours. Everyone was still asleep, then Kerry suddenly opened her eyes. She sat down and lowered her legs along the edge of the bed. There was a nod in her head, and that could only mean that the guest was here again.
'Good morning!'
Kerry already knew who it was.
'Morning! Couldn't we really talk later? I'm still asleep.'
'No, it's important. You have ignored me quite a few times without realizing it, but I really need to talk to you. No more waiting.'
'Wait? For what?' she didn't understand.
'Now it doesn't matter, meet me in ten minutes behind the building.'
The head stopped moaning, reporting - he's gone. Kerry was confused because at one point the guy said there was no time to wait, but at another time it didn't matter. It began to seem to the girl that James himself didn't know what he was doing. Appears then disappears just as quickly.
Looking at the room, the girl realized that the others were still asleep. As quietly as possible, the girl got out of bed and quietly went to the next room to get dressed. The wall clock showed 8.04. Putting on he sweater, jeans and sneakers, she went to the exit. On the way she took an apple from the kitchen table. Going out the door, Kerry felt the morning coolness down to her bones. The girl shrank. She shivered and walked along the terrace past the house. Arriving at the side of the house, he went down the stairs to the wet hall. It looked like it had been raining at night, everything was wet. Even the benches around the old campfire site were soaked. And also the place of the fireplace. As she walked, her shoes got wet. But Kerry didn't worry about getting sick because she was rarely sick. In addition, doctors said she had a good immune system.
Kerry continued down the beaten path. The girl had almost walked around the house when a hand suddenly fell on her shoulder. Quietly clenched, Kerry turned around and automatically hit the stranger. At the last moment, before the boy's face was hit by a fist, he stopped it. It was James.
"You have a heavy hand. And why am I honoured to meet this clenched fist?" the guy asked.
"Sorry... reflex."
For a moment, it seemed to Kerry that the corner of James' lips was moving up, but immediately slipped down again, making it clear that no bites had come here. When he released her hand, it slid loosely along the girl's side. Unable to breath in, James already began to speak:
"That's fine. Okay, the matter is serious. Now, can you clearly tell what really happened the day you went to the countryside? The moment you were at your kitten's grave! At that moment, I lost touch with you, I don't really know why, but I had to settle one thing. Besides, I didn't feel any danger. But it happened, it's partly my fault."
The girl had no idea what the boy was talking about. She already wanted to add if he hadn't mixed anything until she realised what it was about.
"You mean... that moment," Kerry said, emphasising 'that'.
"Yes. Tell me what exactly happened."
"Well. I don't even know where to start. So I went to clean up the cat's grave, I was in a good mood. If I think about it now, it seems too good now. And then it happened..." James listened with such a serious expression that she could no longer speak.
"Kerry, it is all right, you can tell me everything," he looked at the girl, the soft gaze encouraged the young girl, so she kept talking:
"I flew," the guy looked at the girl in confusion, "I know, I know, it sounds incredible, but seriously, I was flying! At first it seemed wonderful to me, I even wanted it, but then that celestial body approached from heaven in my direction. And I couldn't move anymore. Just like by the river. I was paralysed, it seems. Only then did no one save me. And then all of a sudden a white light took over. I think I passed out."
James's head slid down, he turned away. Then he began to speak in a low voice:
"So it hit you! I was afraid of that. It is in... I need to go."
"Wait, hit? Explain, please! What was it then?"
The guy didn't move.
"James?"
"I've been watching you since you was a child, so nothing will happen to you," he shook his head and smiled sarcastically, "but because of my stupidity, you may now be in danger."
"Danger? What are you talking about?"
"No time to explain. I need to go."
"What? No, tell me! You said I could tell you everything, could I gain that kind of trust on your part as well?” The guy didn't turn, but was slowly moving in the direction of the forest, “James!"
Kerry ran past him and stood in front of the boy, blocking the road. Holding the boy with her hands, the girl said loudly:
"Look, I have right to know what's going on here! Be so kind and start telling what is happening, otherwise I will not be able to survive another day in ignorance. Otherwise, I am going to be crazy!" she lowered her head and whispered:
"Please... please tell me the truth."
James tensed. He got rid of Kerry's hands, he said quietly:
"It's inside you."
"What?"
"That celestial body. The crystal... It's in you."
