Nico and Mina | Reopening Departure

After Mina and Nico got a pep talk from the others, asking the two of them why they don't want to work with one another, they all went to their respected rooms, before they reopen the store for tomorrow.

Mina, Gazelle, and Kenny went to Gazelle's room to talk after they ate breakfast and their talk with Azeed.

So, why are you here? Not like I hate your company, just that, do you not have anywhere to be?

Gazelle asked as she's lying down on her bed.

Way to be so unwelcoming, we're not even complaining that you're just there lying on your bed while we are standing up here, and your room to be this messy.

Mina said as she looks around.

I was about to complain about that, though.

Kenny said.

Then don't, I was trying to be humble here.

Mina said.

You're grown-up already, just get your chairs over there on the side, and this isn't my room, Sir Azeed gave me a proper one, this is the Blacksmith, and I just took out a folding bed here from my storage vacuum.

Gazelle said as she sits back up.

I thought this is her room, I just haven't seen the Blacksmith, I think.

Kenny thought.

Anyhow, how are you, ladies?

Gazelle asked.

I'm fine, still panicking on the inside about my upcoming mission with Nico, this is like when I received my first mission from Azeed.

Mina said.

Ignoring Mina's pointless worry, Kenny?

Gazelle said, moving aside what Mina said as she asks Kenny.

I have nothing, really.

Kenny said, coldly.

The hell...

Mina said.

Mina! I didn't you're cursing now! What happened to my pure girl who's so in love with our boss?

Gazelle was surprised about Mina's response to her joke.

That isn't even a curse, that's just my "WTF" response nonchalantly and simply.

Mina said, defending herself.

That's still what you meant in that phrase you just said.

Gazelle said.

Kenny said.

Mina thought.

Nico was called again by Azeed, they will head to the Vault of the Mansion.

Sir Azeed, where are we going?

Nico asked as they are on the way to the Vault.

I did remember your shields getting vaporized from the fight against the UNE, especially against Exos too, so I'm thinking of giving you new ones.

Azeed said

Sweet, I just had a hard time fighting some monsters last night, I will at least have less trouble doing so, also they're still round shields, right?

Nico asked.

Of course, you wouldn't settle for anything else, besides, you had a hard time using my shield last time, so that's not a go for someone like you.

Azeed said.

Thought I noticed something about your shield, Sir Azeed, it somewhat feels complete for me, and it angers me because I've only been using round shields, just as you said, what's with your shield anyway?

Nico asked, after remembering the last mission they did.

Oh, really? It does fit you well, it is called Arion Shield, you're destined to use it, but I'm not gonna give it to you, of course.

Azeed said as they arrive at the defense section.

That's my last name!

Nico thought.

I wouldn't dare, as much as it itches me to know more too.

Nico said.

They then arrived at the Round Shields shaft, Azeed then looks for the one pair of shields.

I wonder what shield I will get this time, I don't wanna break it anymore since I'm just troubling Sir Azeed, I'll try, but it's not as if I'm doing it on purpose though.

Nico thought, Azeed then found the pair of shields he is looking for.

Azeed then took it and went back to Nico.

Here, your new shields.

Azeed said as he gives Nico a pair of bracelets.

Stay calm, Nico, this might be two shields, I just don't know it yet, let's ask first.

Nico thought.

This is two shields? How will I use this?

Nico asked as he took the shields.

Wear it first, this is pretty cool, actually.

Azeed said.

Is he mentioning that the shields came out from this? No way if that's the case, that just shows how great Sir Azeed's possessions are.

Nico thought, predicting as he asks himself.

Nico then equipped the bracelets in both of his wrists.

Then? How will the shield come out of this?

Nico asked after equipping the bracelets

This is quite tricky, tell it to come out, telepathically.

Azeed instructed.

Okay, you heard him, come out, shield.

Nico thought.

Nico then telepathically ordered it to transform, the shields then came out of the bracelets, quicker than the ones he had before.

This is so seamless, you should've given me an energy shield and I won't even complain.

Nico said as he looks over the shield.

Well, you should, because an energy shield is still weaker than that shield because that shield is the strongest round shield overall, really, use it in your mission with Mina the next day.

Azeed said as he walks out of the shield section.

Nico then followed Azeed out of the vault.

I think with this, I can just retract back my left shield, I can use them whenever it's needed, for now, the right shield is what I need.

Nico thought as he retracts the left shield.

I didn't even notice how light this is, it's like it's nothing, because the weight was already given in their bracelet form, and I'm happy it still has the same magnetic function as 2 of my previous shields before.

Nico said as he plays around with the shield.

You are pretty lucky, I only have a few selections of those types of shields, anyway, let's do our best for tomorrow, we shall plan out our reopening.

Azeed said.

They then began another meeting, they talked about making another event for their reopening for a day, they want it as grand as they closed the store before their trip began.

This is gonna have to be as epic as when we left.

Azeed said.

Yes!

Everyone shouted with enthusiasm.

With Mildred for the meeting.

The event then began, the Grinn Corp store was reopened, with all the Grinn Corp Members and Azeed together for the reopening event of the store.

The GCM store has now been reopened!

They all shouted.

All their loyal customers and investors are in front of the store as they reopened the store.

Many customers then entered, led by the investors of the store as the store's VIP.

It's like it's been a long time, but it has only been a month or so.

Mina thought.

Many Mina clones are distributed on the second floor, where the shops are located, either be weapons, tools, armor, clothing and even more, many variations are sold in this section with half a discount for today's event.

On the third floor, where Gazelle is working, together with her brand deals of weapons made by her, with Azeed's permission, she is allowed to give this away to her customers and patrons when they requested service to her blacksmith and all.

Surprisingly, this is what Gazelle has to come up with for her section, I thought she's just messing about in her blacksmith at the mansion the other day we returned here.

Nico said to Kenny as they are watching Gazelle's work.

Do you not have the Rath to supervise?

Kenny asked Nico.

I've already finished my morning work, I'll return later, Sir Azeed needs me here.

Nico said.

He then went to Azeed's office on the top floor of the building, using the televator that was built in the building.

Sir Azeed, you said you need me here yesterday, right?

Nico said as he enters his office.

He then saw as he entered, Queen Velverosa is in the chair in front of Azeed.

Yeah, sit down, Queen Vel, he will be the one that will be leaving as well, in case you notice, he is one of the strongest members here apart from Mina, and both of them will be leaving, I won't be leaving, but I will be doing something in the mansion for a while, the others GCMs will be staying so there's nothing to worry about.

Azeed explained as Nico sits down on the chair in front of the Queen.

His presence is very imposing, now that Sir Azeed mentioned it, he seems to be far powerful than Sir Azeed's partner.

The Queen thought.

Is Sir Azeed bragging about me?

Nico thought.

Why do I need to be here? You could've just told her either way.

Nico said, asking Azeed.

Because I need to assure Queen Vel that we will be doing multiple different works separately, because of our recent missions together, it can be a little tedious doing one thing together where we can do many more when we spread out.

Azeed explained.

I have been wondering why SIr Azeed have only thought of doing that, I mean, we're strong enough and tough enough to do that.

Nico asked.

Because I need to assure what the world's status first, what scales as powerful for many races, how vast the world is, how many there are that are competent, and most importantly, how much the term "Survival of the fittest" applies in this world, and they are all is what I expected.

Azeed explained.

And he was right, the status of the world is very mildly chaotic, the power scale of some of the beings that exist here is tenfold than what he expected, the scale of this world is bigger, thousands upon thousand competent beings exist here.

And the world revolves around the rule of Survival of the fittest since not all races, beings, and entities have democratic rules, like what humans have enforced.

The day then has ended, and Azeed and the Grinn Corp Members have to bid farewell to Nico and Mina who's leaving for the mission to go to the Bottom Rock Continent, to find the one that chanted the mind spell on all of them.

It's time, my suffering, I wish it isn't.

Mina thought.

Well, you two, good luck out there, remember, this journey you two will go to... will be our first time trying multitasking in this world, of course, with you as my members.

Azeed said, wishing the two of them good luck.

We will give it our all, Sir Azeed, we won't mess up for this mission, I won't, I'll do my absolute best!

Nico said, enthusiastically.

At least, he knows what to do and not to do, wait, isn't this just how he is all the time?

Mina thought.

Azeed then went to Mina.

Mina, I'll see you later, do your best, okay?

Azeed said as he kisses her.

Smooth...

Gazelle told the others in the mind gate, without Mina.

Right...

Kenny said.

That's how it is, I wonder when will the wedding?

Nico asked.

Let's not be hasty and jump to conclusions quickly, they want to go through the steps so we must respect that.

Shiro said.

At least, their relationship is far better and not like the ones that are in the adventurer's guild who sees who they want to get, like a hog.

Kai said.

Are you speaking from experience, old man?

Nico asked.

I'm gonna smack your butt later, kid.

Kai said.

I'm scared!!!

Nico said, sarcastically.

Mina and Nico went their way, as the others are waving at them, Nico is waving back, while Mina is only looking back.

On their way, on their first meters.

Listen up, I'll be honest, Nico, so you do as well, but I don't personally like to work with you, not unless we're with the others, so just do your best for this, I'll do my best as well, let's not pressure one another since we're both under Azeed's name.

Mina explained as they are traveling.

Oh, same, I sure will do my best, obviously, since Sir Azeed is dubbing me as the strongest member that I don't consent to, my problem with us working together is not because of you, believe it or not.

Nico said.

Really? Then what's wrong? With you?

Mina asked.

You're right though, it was me, I'm just a wreck when I'm on this kind of mission, I'm worried I'll mess up, I'm scared my worry will mess us up, it stacks up there, it doesn't bother me when I'm with the others too since you all offsets my flaws that well.

Nico said.

Hmm... it's surprising to hear that, it's somewhat out of character, it's not so Nico.

Mina thought as they continue their travel.
