Unexpected meeting

When I first entered the conference room, I saw a familar person but I couldn’t see his face as his back was facing toward me but when he turned around my whole world turned upside down...

The most daunting nightmare of my life was standing infront of me. I stopped dead in track when I saw him. All those painful memories that I tried so hard to forget came crashing down on me. My heart was pounding. I couldn’t breathe. I was sweating profusely. My eyes zeroed on him, i watched his every move like a hawk. With every rise and fall of my chest his eyes darken. I was terrified.

" Well we meet again Zelda" he said and extended his hand for me to take. I was stupefied by his audacity. My hand was trembling when I shook his. I blinked back the tears that formed in my eyes and looked at him right in his eyes. I could see the malice in his eyes. He wanted to hurt me more. He was after me. He is going to hurt me again. Orion has come back to take me to that hell hole again.

My heart was pounding, I was feeling dizzy and I felt like my lungs have stop working as I couldn’t breathe. I was flustered and my whole body was tingling painfully. I was getting panic attacks that I didn’t get for the last 3 years. Orion’s presence triggered the panic attack. I started to tremble as I suddenly felt cold and collapsed...

The next thing I know is that I woke up to a very bright and white ceiling. An IV tube was plugged in my arms and I realised that I was in a hospital. Then I remembered meeting Orion again at my office, Oh no ! Holy s**t ! Orion knows about me. He is going to hurt me again. I started to hyperventilate and when a deep calm voice told me to calm myself. I turned around to face Orion again. I began to panic, I tried to shout for help but my voice wouldn’t come out. I tried to lift my hand to press the button on my bed to call a nurse but my body would not obey me. My movements were uncoordinated and I was still a little bit drowsy.

I was feeling sleepy but I would never sleep unguarded infront of him. He asked me with his deep authoritative voice " Are you alright dear Zelda?" and before I could reply anything at all, a doctor and few nurses came to check on me. Luckily it was the same doctor that found me years ago. She was an old and very warm woman. She looked after me. Her name was Samantha but she asked me to call her Sam.

"Zelda what happened dear?"

"Are you eating properly?’

"Yes Sam I’m alright" I replied and signaled her about Orion. After mom & dad, she was the one who could comfort me. She knew everything that happened to me but what she did not know was that Orion was standing in front of her.
