Velvet Scar

Flashback

Samantha sent Orion out so that I could rest. He gave one last lingering look before the room. I could see the underlying threat in his eyes. This man can every and anything inorder to have what he wants. When he left the room, the tears that I tried to keep at bay burst forth. I pour my heart out remembering everything that happened five years ago.

~Flashback~

5 years ago

I was having a pleasant dream. I dreamt about the time when mom, dad and I were living happily waiting impatiently for our newest and youngest member to join us. I was so happy. Mom was trying to tell me something but only the annoying noise of a alarm could be heard.

I woke up feeling groggy and edgy. Maybe because I know that today is the first day of my new highschool. I just moved here with my dad. I glanced at my alarm and saw that I had less than twenty minutes to get ready. Luckily I had already prepared my clothing for today.

I took my clothes and rushed to my ensuite bathroom. I brushed my teeth while musing over the idea of having atleast one friend. I never been able to make one friend because I’m always shifting house. Since mom died, dad does not like to stay in the same place for too long. I just hope that this time I will be able to make a friend. I showered as fast as possible because I realized that lost ten minute thinking about my new school.

I ran towards the bus stop in hope of not missing the bus. Yesterday my dad showed me the bus stop and told me about the buses schedule. I was waiting for the bus when I made eye contact with the most striking and beautiful blue eyes. He playfully winked at me. I blushed and look away.

I stealthily took a peek at him through my hair and there he was staring back at me. He was the most beautiful man I ever saw. He was making my heart beat fast and there was this unfamiliar feeling in my stomach.

He was approaching me silently. He stood beside me without saying a word. He was standing so close to me that his cologne wafts through my nostrils.

From the smug look in his face I could tell that he knew the effect he had on people especially women.

The bus came and we both boarded the same and his hand accidentally touched mine and my stomach did a somersault. I retracted my hand. The place where he touched was on fire and involuntarily I turned around to find him already staring at me.

He smiled at me and shyly I smiled back at him.

I ran to the front desk to get my schedule. I was looking for my class when someone tapped my shoulder making me jump back scared. I was about to fall when strong arms snaked around waist there was a sweet tingling sensation that creates havoc in the deep pit of my stomach. I looked to find the bluest pair of eyes staring back at me. The tension was sweet tantalizing between us.

I muttered a small "I’m sorry"

"It’s okay, are you looking for your class?"

"Lemme look at your schedule"

I gave it to him.

"Great we both have the same classes today"

He kept my schedule with him and started walking.

I was stupefied. He didn’t even ask me to follow him and didn’t return me my schedule. After regaining my composure, I followed him mowing that I’ll be late and lost if I don’t.

We both walked silently to our class and he went to sit at his place while I grabbed the free seat in front of a very beautiful girl. She had strawberry blonde hair and cute round face with sparkly brown eyes. She was indeed very pretty. She also appeared very warm and friendly but being the shy and timid i***t that I am I couldn’t gather the courage to talk to her.

"Hey" she chirped

"Hi" I replied

We kept talking about things until the teacher arrived. He was explaining but I couldn’t concentrate as my mind was wandering back to the greek god sitting few seats behind me. There was something about him that told me to stay and yet I felt a strange pull towards him.

The day went by in a blur and then came the long awaited lunch. I went to the cafeteria under the pretext of buying something but my eyes were searching for him. They finally found him him he was sitting with his friends.

He waved at me and I waved back. I buy some salad and yoghurt and as I have no one to eat with I was going outside when someone called out my name. I turned around and there was Jennifer aka strawberry blonde girl gesturing me to come and sit with her friends.

I was hesitant at first but she came toward.and asked me

"Would you want to have lunch with us?"

"I’d love to but wouldn’t it trouble your friends?"

"Nah they are cool with"

We talked a lot mostly about me and the places I’ve been to. These girls were best friends since kindergarten. They had another friend who hasn’t arrived to school yet. I already loved these girls

I was mindlessly listening to them as thinking about him. I don’t even know his name. I felt like asking the girls but I refrain to do so.

As I would personally love to ask him.
