We made our way to school. I forgot to mention that Blake is in his senior year while I am just a junior in high school. As we got to school he turned and looked at me, reaching out as he patted my head giving me that charming smile, I couldn't help but smile back as he did. We parted ways as I went to first period Math. Taking a seat at the back as people spoke to one another. I stared out the window waiting for class to begin. I was your typical outsider at school. No one spoke to me or even made an effort. pfft, for the most part, they only bullied me. Not that it mattered to me I was basically immune to it by now. It started to rain outside as class commenced. Am I the only one that loves the smell of the rain? I sighed softly wishing to be out in the rain. It always helped me for some reason and I always felt refreshed after walking in the rain. As I heard the bell ring I gathered up my things and made my way out to the rain. Looking around to make sure no one was there I ran as fast as I could to this clearing in the woods near my school. It was my...quiet place you can say. I spun around in the rain laughing. This was my freedom and the only thing I could do. CRUNCH!! Stopping as I heard someone approach taking small steps back afraid. "Rosemary you shouldn't run off into the woods." recognizing the voice "Blake what are you doing here?" I asked. As he stopped. "Well I saw you run off and I just followed." he chuckled. I rolled my eyes at him. "You should be in class..after all, it is your senior year." I stared at him. he looked at me as he pouted. "Rosemary, do you remember what today is?" I thought for a second "Last I checked it is Thursday and you have a date with....a girl?" I answered a bit confused as I looked at him. he gently pokes my nose and chuckles "Wrong. I mean it is Thursday. But you're wrong about the date." my eyes open wide my legs leave the ground Blake lifting me up in his arms. "It's my 18th birthday and I have a secret to tell you." glancing over at him I feel my cheeks start to burn, averting my gaze confused by my reaction. I wiggle like a worm trying to escape his arms. I hear his chuckle as he sets me down. "Let's meet here after school. I shake my head afraid of mom getting mad at me if I am late even by a second getting home. he says and we agree to meet again once she falls asleep. Blake walks me back to class, before heading to his class. I watch as he disappears out of view. I feel my self get pulled as I fall down to the ground. Looking up I see that it is Christa and her little gang. I glare up at them wincing in pain as one of them steps on my hand, Christa wrapping her hand in my hair as she leans down. "Why the hell were you with Blake? rolling my eyes as I feel more weight on my hand. "Blake is my brother and there's nothing wrong with that. You all know that." trying hard not to make a sound as she yanks my hair back. "Stay away from him you ugly b***h. He probably treats you kind cause he feels bad for you. Everyone knows you both aren't related by blood." they proceed to strike me over and over again. One of them kicking me in the ribs where mother had kicked me earlier. Everything starts to go dark. "Just die stupid bitch." I fade into the darkness that swallows me.
