Jarden made sure to wait with Ander as he waited for the person that would come and pick him up.

Ander had told him the latest development and his fears for his sister's life which in turn, Jarden has told him that he is worrying too much because if his sister was kidn*pped, the kidnapper will be asking for ransom and would not offer to come to pick him up.

"Don't worry bro, your sis is probably safe, so chill."

This is the third time Jarden is telling him this after he saw that despite what he had told him so far he is still worried.

Ander sighed and thought there is no need to work himself up, time will tell. He will wait and see how things unfold.

Jarden And Ander did not wait for long when a Bugatti pulled up in their front. They took two steps back in order not to be on the way for whoever the car is for, not knowing it was for Ander.

Silas hurriedly came down from the car and walked towards Ander who scrutinized him. Ander can't understand why the man is making his way towards him or could it be someone he was told that is coming to pick him up?

"Good day to you young man, you must be Ander Coker"

Ander nodded in reply and Silas gestured for him to make his way to the car.

"This way, sir"

Jarden stared at the car and then at the man in front of them. Seeing nothing strange, he gave Ander a sign to go with the man. Ander had to trust Jarden on this level because Jarden has proven over time to him to recognize danger when he sees one and since he was asked by Jarden to go in, it can only mean that there is no danger.

Ander pulled Jarden into a hug.

"See you in a few days, bro, be safe"

"Yeah, make sure to take care of yourself and your big sis"

Jarden told him and they broke the hug.

Ander climbed into the car and waved at Jarden for the last time before the car zoomed off. Jarden watched as the car zoomed away and smiled.

"Enjoy your Christmas bro, merry Christmas"

Jarden turned and went back, it was time for him to go home too.

While in the car, Ander thought of asking a few questions but decided against it. This man here behind the steering wheel might just be an employee so he doesn't think the man will have information, even if he has, he would not rely, most employees of rich dudes do that because they feel they are betraying their employer if they talk about such things.

Ander was in awe, the car was dope. First time in his life he has been treated like a king. For him to be picked up on a Christmas morning with a Bugatti, simply means his Christmas just got better but still with all these thoughts bubbling up, that one thought that has refused to leave his mind, constantly reminds him that all might not be well with his sister. His excitement died down and he sighed.

Silas watched the young man in his rearview mirror and marveled at the striking resemblance between him and the new lady of the house. Blood, they say, is indeed thicker than water. If anyone sees the new lady and sees this young man, they would not think twice before knowing they are bloody related.

Back in the Grey's Hospital, Josh and Senior Bleak have been sucked dry with worries and panic. It's been over an hour now and the doctor has not said anything to them. It's been the nurses buzzing around.

The doctor finally appeared before them and asked to see them in his office. They followed him immediately.

Doctor Swift has been wondering what could have gotten the patient into that kind of health condition, he guesses he will find out from The Bleaks.

He led them into his massive office and asked them to sit down.

"Good morning to you both, I would not waste your time, I will just go straight to the point."

The doctor said and the two prominent persons in front of him impatiently waved off what he said. Josh was not interested in the pleasantries same with Senior Bleak. The doctor could do them a favor and tell them what they want to hear.

"I believe the lady is a relative?"

"Yes, she is my wife-to-be"

Josh replied and the doctor stared at him more like scrutinizing him. If this guy is her husband then he must know what happened to her or he might not.

"The patient is suffering from a high dosage of melatonin in her system coupled with the fact that she was in a cold area for a long time."

The doctor said and Josh looked up at him immediately. He knows of the cold which he is the cause but of the melatonin, he has no clue. If he is correct, melatonin is a sleeping tablet that has several side effects. It could make you see yourself in a different environment and you will think it's normal. He has had an experience before and it was not pleasant. No wonder when he pulled the duvet from her last night, she did not move an inch but how did melatonin get to her body?

Senior Bleak could not believe his ears, a lady under his care was drugged before him. He looked at Josh who was looking confused too and wondered if it was Josh but he did not think so. Josh likes Alex so he can't be the one to drug her and besides he knows Josh too well and knows what he can do.

"So are you saying she took melatonin or what?"

Senior Bleak asked, trying to understand the doctor.

"No, from the test carried out, it was through the last meal she ate and the melatonin is in a high dose in her body. She, right now, feels alive somewhere and if care is not taken she might draft further and this can cause her to die. We have placed her under watch and see how far she can go but I think one of you has to go and continuously talk to her to make her understand that where she is, she does not belong there and a Christmas miracle could happen, she might wake up soon."

Josh clenched his fist and fumed in anger, it could only be one person who would dare him like this. Alex is really not safe with him. This case has proven that he would have to guide Alex's life jealously with his life.

Senior Bleak was lost in his thoughts. Alex's first day in his mansion and she was drugged but by who and why. This is serious, it means the young lady is not safe in his place. Once again one of his employees has betrayed him.

But he will find out and fire the person with immediate effect not without due punishment. He doesn't look for trouble that does not mean he can't borrow one.

He looked at the doctor and asked.

"What about the cold?"

"Her body system could not protect her from the cold because it was asleep so the cold has built up layers in her system but we have successfully dealt with the cold, the issue at hand is someone needs to continuously talk to her until she wakes up"

Josh nodded in understanding. He was supposed to be preparing for his wedding but he is here in a fight for Alex's life. He could not blame himself anymore. It was not his fault after but that does not mean he was not to be blamed. He could have figured out something was wrong with her if he had been nice to her.

"So, we could go see her right?"

Senior Bleak asked and the Doctor affirmatively replied to him. Josh was quick on his feet before the other two could make it. The doctor led them out of the office heading to Alex's ward with many thoughts on their minds, on why it has to be possible for Alex to be drugged under their noses.
