Senior Bleak's New Sweetheart

Josh took a sip of his whiskey, he was getting bored already. He can't wait for the damn wedding to happen so that he would go back to London, dealing with his grandfather is not among one of his agendas for the new year, he would definitely go insane if he dares.
"And no matter what your wife ever does to you, don't react immediately, think twice before reacting. In that way, you understand why she has to do what she did. Women are so complex, understanding them is like trying to see what tomorrow has in store for you. Don't ever dare to try and understand her because your mental health will be at stake."
Senior Bleak paused and took another sip from his whiskey, he stared at Josh to see his expression but Josh was expressionless. This his grandson knows how to keep his emotions in check. He is proud of him in some ways. Senior Bleak is so afraid about his grandson's bride, Alex Coker. She has a past with his two grandsons and he does not know how the whole thing is going to play out. Senior Bleak knows that after tomorrow, things will not be the same again for his family.
"And again, don't hesitate to talk to this grandfather of yours about anything, and report Alex to me if she ever does anything to you, when I say anything, I mean anything at all"
Josh nods his head in agreement, he must say that his grandfather took a liking to Alex which he is not sure if it's normal, it's not his business anyway. One thing he knows is this, Alex can never be part of his life, she sold herself and that made her worthless.
Senior Bleak took his last sip of whiskey and cleared his throat.
" I think I am done with you, go bring your bride for dinner, thank you"
He said in a dismissive way which got Josh annoyed but he did not let it play on his face.
One day his grandfather will have it hot with him, and he can't call him here and after talking, he would dismiss him with "go and call your bride for dinner". It looks like his new sweetheart is Alex Coker, whatever that means concerns him not.
He drank his own last drop of whiskey and left his grandfather. The old man watched as he left and shook his head. Why does it look like these two lied about everything, he means Miss Coker and Josh.
He is so exhausted that he can't wait for tomorrow to be over.
He wondered what is taking Silas so long to be back, he hopes he is not caught up with something.
He sighed and left the room for dinner.

Luke was pacing in his room looking so restless when his phone rang, he jerked up and picked up the call almost immediately.
"Your brother is an a*shole!"
He heard Stacy scream on the phone and pulled the phone away for the sake of his eardrum. Thank heavens she called, he has been waiting for her call since.
"I know that, so what's up with you two"
He asked and she hissed at her end.
"He broke up with me, your brother f*cking broke up with me, and do you know what he told me, he said that not all engagement leads to marriage, and the worst part of this, is that my dad said he would do nothing"
She fumed on the phone. Luke was silent, it looks like this was not going to help him, then he would look for another alternative.
"You know what Stacy, you want Josh and I want Alex right"
"Right"
"Then we will make it come true, I can't let my brother have my girlfriend"
Luke said, determined.
"Me either, I can't let her have my boyfriend so we have got to do something."
"Yeah, we have to and that should be fast, we have from now to dawn to do something or we both would lose"
Luke said. h
He wants to do anything to stop the wedding but he doesn't know what could be done. He is so clueless, he has not been in a situation where he has to fight for what belongs to him, this is his first time.
"Let me think of something and I would get back to you"
She said and hung up the call, Luke stared at his phone and pocketed it. She should better be fast or he would go insane.
A knock came at the door and he invited the person in.
"Sir, dinner is served and Senior Bleak said I should let you know."
One of their maids said and made to leave when he stopped her.
"Did you say dinner"
He asked and she nodded her head, he remembered Alex's favorite which is pasta, and an idea formed in his mind.
"Can you make pasta as quickly as possible?"
He asked, the maid nodded her head.
"Good, make it for the lady of the house and serve her, alright"
"Okay, sir,"
The maid bowed and left, Luke smiled to himself and left his room also.
Josh got to his room maybe to see the damn lady standing waiting for him but no, what did Alex do.
She had dressed up in one of Josh's shirts and briefs and went to sleep not minding the consequences of her actions.
Josh stared hard at her and hissed.
" What the hell is wrong with this lady, she has not become my wife yet she is already dressing in my clothes. Damn you b*tch!"
He cursed aloud and dragged her by the leg, Alex whimpered and opened her eyes. She shot him a dagger look and forcefully took her leg out of his hands.
"You have gone nuts upstairs, no doubt about it, dare pull me again and we will wrestle till daybreak. Don't you know I have a big day tomorrow? I need to rest because of the stress you put me through today. I don't want to be sleeping and saying my vows tomorrow so allow kindly me to sleep"
Having said what she said, she went back to bed and closed her eyes.
Josh could not believe his eyes, how can someone like her tell him what to do, she has not seen anything yet.
He went to the bathroom and shut the door.
Alex sighed when she saw him enter the bathroom and closed her eyes back, she was trying to calm her beating heart. Where she got guts still baffles her. She was taught to defend herself verbally and as well physically but she knows she can't beat up Josh if a chance presents itself.
Josh returns a few minutes later and empties the cold water he had fetched from the bathroom on Alex's body, not minding his bed, he needs to teach her who the boss is.
Alex screamed and jumped down from the bed in absolute shock, she wiped the water from her face and shot him a look.
"So you can get down huh, I thought you were a superwoman?"
Josh said and smirked then dropped the cup he had used to fetch the water and went inside the bathroom.
Alex could still not believe Josh would pour her water to make his point.
She gritted her teeth and fumed
Two can actually plan this game.
She said and stormed out of the room.
Since she did not know her way around, it took her time to get to the kitchen, passing the huge dining room with a lot of dishes displayed on the dinner tables. It looks like a feast will be held here very soon.
Some maids saw her and bowed. She felt awkward about their actions but she waved it away and asked one of them where she could get water and she directed her. Alex was informed dinner is ready so she should come down in a few minutes later when the others will be around. She nodded her head and went ahead to do what brought her there in the first place.
She fetched water inside a big kitchen bowl and left, heading to Josh's room, smirking. She can't wait to harvest the water on him.
Josh Bleak has met his match and he should be ready to play the game that he started to the end.
