Josh never expected what happened to him next. He opened the bathroom door with a towel tied around his waist and water dripping around his body and disappearing into his towel. Alex targeted him and the moment he opened the door, she emptied the water on him, it was not just any water but cold water.
Josh gasped and clenched his fist.
" What's wrong with you young lady, are you crazy?"
Alex smirked and dropped the bowl on the floor.
"You are not the only one who could play this game. Don't try me next time or what I will serve you will be bigger than what you saw. Mr. Josh Bleak, dare me not"
She said and walked out of the room, she had stepped out but she returned.
"Don't forget to get the bowl to the kitchen, I love you darling"
She blew kisses to him and closed the door.
Once she was outside, she breathed in and released the air she had been holding.
Dealing with Josh will require a lot of strength from her side. If she eventually marries this guy, what will be her fate? There is no way that marriage will hold, she has to do something fast.
Josh looked at himself drenched and cursed.
The damned lady dared him like this, and when he thought he has seen it all, she reveals another side of her.
She will be his end if he eventually marries her.
"You are so lucky you left, if not, you would have gone to dinner with broken bones"
Josh said obviously referring to Alex.
He carefully removed the towel and put on his pyjamas and took the wet towel to the bathroom. The girl is really getting on his nerves.
He came out of his bathroom and left the room for dinner.

Senior Bleak arrived at the dining room and sat down, he scanned the dishes around and smiled in satisfaction. There might not be Christmas decorations or presents which indicates that tomorrow is going to be Christmas but the dishes will make up for those things. He had asked the cook to prepare more than enough, he just wants to celebrate a little with his grandsons and now that a wife has been added to the family, it will be great too.
Yesterday evening, he did not know that today would turn out like this. It was all about Luke's wedding and he was not this excited but Senior Bleak finds out that since Josh brought the lady in, he has had the excitement bubbling up.
For the Bleak family, dinner is what they don't fail to have together when they are around. It's been something Senior Bleak has made as a rule and that rule has been kept for years. It's the only normal thing they do like normal people
Senior was tapping his feet wondering what was taking these people's time, the maids were up and doing, making sure that dinner should be as it should be. Senior Bleak was losing his patience and he will definitely lash out at whoever comes late to dinner tonight.
It's time they respect themselves and behave like the adults they are, especially Josh who will be getting married tomorrow.
Luke got to the dining room and saw his grandfather seated, he thought of ignoring him but remembered that none of this was his grandfather's fault. He should be blamed in some sort of way. If he had not broken up with Alex, none of these would have happened but then, she was not meant to move on so quickly, it was like she was waiting for him to say the word, and boom, she went off.
Regarding the way she has dismissed him, it means she did not love him enough, she did not even fight for their relationship and that's more reason he would get her back and teach her a lesson she would never forget in a hurry. Josh is not the enemy but she is.
"Grandfather."
He murmured and sat down, his grandfather looked up at him and sighed.
"Luke, your face is not bright at all?"
Senior Bleak questioned him, Luke smiled in return.
" Since you have suddenly gone dumb, Kindly go call your brother and his wife-to-be for me, tell them we are waiting"
Luke scoffed and stood up and left. His grandfather just wants to torment him but he will show him that he is bigger than all of this.
He met Alex on his way without Josh and smiled.
"Alex, where are you going?"
He asked
Alex scanned him up and down and sighed,
She thought, "he is not only senseless, but he is also dumb as well"
" To the dinner of course, what does it look like?"
The comeback really hit Luke hard, he was not expecting a harsh reply from her. This is not the Alex he knew. She totally changed in a short space of time. Is this how people change so quickly?
"Alright then, let me walk you, grandfather said I should go get you. By the way, where is Josh?"
She smiled lovely,
"He is on his way. And don't worry about walking me to dinner. My husband would not like me in the company of another man, you know he is the jealous type even though you are his brother."
Luke needed a cotton bud to clean his ears, he can't believe his ears.
He was baffled at her response, did she say husband?
He was totally speechless.
"Alex you seem to forget that it's Luke who is standing in front of you"
Luke said, eyeing her.
He was getting annoyed already by her nasty attitude. He just thought to remind her that he was still the Luke she has known for almost a year.
"And so, what's so special about you? Are you my gateway to paradise?"
Alex threw back at him. He seems to have forgotten so fast that he broke up with her to get married, if not that she is in this situation, she might not have got to know the real reason he had broken up with her, and now that his marriage did not work as planned, he wants her back. She would be a fool forever if she ever thinks of getting back with Luke. He did not respect her enough. That's one thing about rich people, they would do something without thinking about the outcome.
Was Luke expecting her to welcome him with open arms?
He should just wait and see, by the time she is done with him, he would regret breaking her heart on Christmas Eve.
Luke stared at her, he was entirely surprised. He would have to check if Alex has a twin because this is so not Alex.
Alex has heard enough of him, his presence was irritating her. She shook her head and made to walk past him when Luke drew her back forcefully.
" I think you need a brain reset so that you can think clearly. Do you think my brother loves you enough? I tell you, he would just play with you and after that, he would dump you and continue living his life. You are not up to his class that's why you need to come back to me, let me love you as you should be loved."
