chapter 4;the cat

I woke up the next morning but I was having a serious headache .

how did i get home .

.who took me home last night....I was at the party ,I had some sips .and.....

ouch my head hurts..I need to remember what happened last night.

oh s**t ,it was .r brown that took me home.

how could I have drank soo much ,I am screwed.

but I really need to prepare for work.

I freshened up ,git dressed and headed for the office.

everybody was looking at me as if I stole something.

why was all eyes on me from the entrance door to I reached my desk.everyone was acting strange.

" rose ,what is your relationship with Mr brown" Katherine asked.

what do you mean.

don't dare to deny it, Mr brown took you home yesterday.and this he has never done before.

ok..I get it ,he just took me home and nothing else I guess,...actually he was the only one that knew my house.

"don't say that, your address is on the staff records of the company, he could have asked someone to take but he did it himself."

ok...maybe let's just say he is kind enough.

"mmm....their is something fishy...."

my phone rang ,which caused an interruption to our conversation,excuse me I need to take this call,I said while standing and heading to the restroom.

thank God you called at this moment.

" Whatsup girl,what happened. " Amy said. yesterday Mr brown dropped me off at my house ...

" woah,how..why..

I didn't know how I got drunk,...I am screwd girl,now everybody in the office is now behaving strangely towards me.

"ok,...ok..., try to calm down, for crying out loud you need to be happy and not sad."

no girl , this was not what I planned for.

" calm down first, this is just a matter of time and you will pass it by,ok"

yh. I heared some foot steps approaching so I had to end the call.

" Amy I will call you later someone is coming.

" ok , no probs.

I went back to my desk and continued with my work but prayed for that day to end as soon as possible.

why are you staring at me like I have something on my face.

" is nothing sir, is just I wonderd why you took miss rose home yesterday by yourself.

ooooh, now I get it, is this why you all have been giving me those looks.

" sir, there are rumors that you are dating rose."

" sorry are you not worried that this may tarnish your image.

although I had never reacted to any rumors but this one got me. I wondered how rose will be feeling.rumors really have a great impact on people.

she followed me to the roof top of the company. I waited for closing hours becausebi didn't want to add more to the rumors.

I just wanted to tell you that, you should not let these, rumors affect your work.

" no sir it won't.there are just rumors ,is just a matter of time it will pass by.

yeah ,that's right.are about to go home I can give you a ride.

I took her home and drooped her at the front of her house.

" thank you Mr brown, she said about yo shut my door.

" what a cute cat it looks like it lost its way.

I came out of my car to see the little cat.i went to the passenger's side.

oooh you like cats too.

" yeah,I had one when I was twelve,she said while patting the cat on the head.

wow what a coincidence, I love cats.

I bend down and tried taking the cats in my arms.

I guess,I have to take this little darling with me.

" excuse me sir,bur I saw the cat first,she said while taking the cats from me .

how can you seriously take care of a cat in this small apartment of yours.

" atleast,I leave alone.

alright since we both found the cat we need to take care of it.

" what do you mean, she said looking at me with a confused face.

you can keep the cat on the condition that I will ,be coming to your place to see it .

" why don't we take turns in taking care of Cathy, like if you take i take it this week ,the next weekend you can come pick her up.

I cam see you have already named the cat, ..Well that's okay by me

" yeah, then is a deal.

yeah.just don't break the contract. I need to be on my way now.

I went back to my car while miss rose bid me a wave .

" byeeee..."

I went home that say but,the thought of her couldn't clear off my head.

I sipped the drink I got from refrigerator a while ago ,when I came back.

she was actually pretty and kind.

maybe I have fallen for this particular girl.

she makes me di weird things i have never done before.

i sat on my bed after taking a shower,is time to sleep after a long day at work , not withstanding what happened in the office today.

I couldn't believe that the cold Mr brown would really be so kind hearted within .

he really cared about how the rumors would affect me but he chose to divert it to the work aspect.

he also liked cats.

I was deep In thought and laughed with myself.

when he told me if ,I would mind for him to take me home. I got butterflies jumping in My belly.

I controlled myself so that hw won't say i am too desperate. his eyes were charming, I barely took my eyes off him.

ATLEAST WE did be Seeing each other more , often , I said looking at the cat which I kept on the floor of my room.

I didn't have much time to build a cage for it so I spread a blanket on the floor and kept it on the blanket.
