It was five in the afternoon when I left the site. I was gone for a whole week, so I had a long conversation with Johnson, and we had some changes of plan. Instead of just a hotel, he also wanted it to be a small shopping center. I agreed, and there were many things we had to discuss.
The sky was almost dark when Nath and I walked back to the hotel. I kept checking my phone to see if there was a message from Serena. I also called her, but her phone was just ringing.
I strode to our room, wanting to know how her day went. How was she, and what was she doing? I fished out the card from my back pocket to open the suite and roam my eyes around. I didn't see her, but I found her phone on the bed. That's why she isn't answering the call.
The whole room is quiet,
