Alex watched Mia from across the room, his gaze lingering on her with an intensity that sent a shiver of desire down her spine. There was something about him, a magnetism that drew her in like a moth to a flame, igniting a fire within her that threatened to consume her whole.
With a nervous smile, Mia poured two cups of coffee and carried them over to the small table in the corner of the kitchen, where Alex was waiting for her with a knowing grin.
"Thank you," Alex said, his voice low and husky as he accepted the cup of coffee from Mia's outstretched hand. "You didn't have to go to all this trouble."
Mia shrugged, a blush rising to her cheeks as she took a seat opposite Alex at the table. "It's no trouble at all. I just wanted to show my gratitude for everything you've done for me tonight."
Alex smiled, his eyes softening with tenderness as he regarded Mia with a mixture of admiration and affection. "You're welcome, Mia. I'll always be here for you, no matter what."
As they sipped their coffee in comfortable silence, Mia felt the tension between them begin to dissipate, replaced by a sense of intimacy and connection that left her breathless. With a hesitant glance at Alex, she broached the subject that had been weighing on her mind since they had met.
"Who are you, Alex?" Mia asked, her voice barely above a whisper as she met his gaze head-on. "I mean, really. What are you?"
Alex's smile faded, replaced by a look of seriousness as he regarded Mia with a hint of sadness in his eyes. "I'm not like other men, Mia. I'm...different."
Mia's heart pounded in her chest as she waited for Alex to continue, her pulse quickening with each passing moment as she braced herself for the truth that lay hidden beneath his handsome exterior.
"I'm a lycan," Alex admitted, his voice barely above a whisper as he met Mia's gaze. "The Lycan King, to be exact."
Mia's breath caught in her throat at Alex's confession, she had suspected as much, of course, but to hear him say it out loud, to acknowledge the truth of what he was, it sent a thrill of excitement coursing through her veins.
But even as Mia struggled to process the enormity of Alex's revelation, another emotion stirred within her, a desire that burned brighter with each passing moment, igniting a fire within her that threatened to consume her whole.
Alex. The king of Lycans. In my home.
Mia couldn't believe it. Is this why her attraction was so strong to him, why he somehow held so much power over her emotions.
Alera piped up suddenly ‘He Is ours, our mate’
Our What!? Mia had heard of others in the pack finding mates and living happy lives. But it was rare as Alpha Jace's pack was full of deceit and lies. Even the she wolves who became mated to the men became horrible themselves.
‘It's true Mia, and he is holding back. He knows but is waiting for us to acknowledge it.’
Well this was just fantastic. Another complication to add to mess. Mia rolled her eyes.
After their conversation in the kitchen, Alex and Mia sat in silence for a while longer, sipping their coffee as they savoured the warmth and intimacy of the moment. But eventually, the hour grew late, and with a reluctant smile, Alex rose from his seat.
"I should probably be going," Alex said, his voice tinged with regret as he met Mia's gaze with desire. "But thank you for the coffee, Mia. And for everything else."
Mia nodded, her heart heavy with the weight of Alex's impending departure. "Anytime, King Alex. You know where to find me if you ever need anything."
With a final smile, Alex turned and made his way to the door, but turned quickly to add,
"Please just call me Alex."
Leaving Mia alone in the kitchen with nothing but the echoes of their conversation and the lingering scent of his presence…and Alera.
As Mia cleared away the empty coffee cups and prepared for bed, her mind buzzed with thoughts of Alex, his touch, his scent, the way his eyes seemed to pierce straight through her to the very depths of her soul.
‘I know I said you needed help from the trouble you find, but he is good trouble. He is our MATE.’
Ok ok, we really need to have a talk! But not tonight. Mia needed sleep and her head was spinning from tonight.
As she slipped beneath the covers and closed her eyes, Mia found herself drifting into a deep and restless sleep, a sleep filled with dreams of Alex, dreams of desire and longing that left her breathless and wanting more.
In her dream, Alex stood before her, his eyes blazing with passion as he reached out to take her in his arms. Their lips met in a fierce and desperate kiss, igniting a fire within Mia that threatened to consume her whole.
With each touch, each caress, Mia felt herself spiralling deeper into the depths of desire, her body trembling with need as Alex explored every inch of her with his tongue, and fingers that were searching for her sweet spot.
As Alex found Mia's tender and wet entrance, she quivered, wanting more than just his fingers.
"Please, alex," her moans a whisper.
Mia felt herself surrendering to Alex, as he pushed into her with need and hunger. Mia threw her head back and completely gave into the power of their connection, a connection that transcended the boundaries of time and space, uniting them in a dance of desire that left her gasping for breath.
But even as Mia surrendered to the pleasure of the moment, a part of her knew that it was only a dream, that Alex was nothing more than a figment of her imagination, a fantasy born from the depths of her longing and desire.
As she lay there in the darkness, her body still thrumming with the echoes of their s*x, Mia couldn't shake the feeling that Alex was more than just a dream, that he was real, and that their connection was destined to transcend the boundaries of fantasy and become something more.
With that thought lingering in her mind, Mia drifted into a deep and restful sleep, her dreams filled with visions of passion and desire.
