Chapter Six

1203 Words
I opened my eyes and I saw the dark sky filled with stars.  My head was pounding.  I felt something on my head and touched it.  It felt strange, soft, humid, and slimy.  It seemed to be attached to my head like a... like a... leech!  I grabbed the thing and pulled it from my head.  It had definitely attached itself to my forehead.  I saw that black, disgusting, worm-like thing on my hand and screamed. "No.  No, no," someone said to me, a guy.  I couldn't see him well.  I could only see his hand reaching out for the leech and taking it away from me.  My eyes hurt and I could hardly see a clear face. "Who are you?  Where's Camilo?  Where am I?" I asked. "Shush.  Please.  Everything is going to be alright," a voice said.  It was a voice of a guy.  The sexiest voice I've ever heard in my life.  I wondered who it was, but as I opened my eyes, they began to hurt and pound. "You've been injured.  You need to rest and heal," he said.  I coughed. "You will be alright again.  I promise," he said.   "Who... who are you?" I managed to say, but my stomach was hurting and my belly was growling.  I had never felt so horrible in my entire life. "That doesn't matter right now.  What matters is that you'll be okay," he replied. "What's your name... please.  What's your name?" I asked him, but he didn't reply.  He touched my hair, caressed it, and didn't say another word again.  I heard him singing something though, something beautiful, but I didn't recognize it.  His song was soft and strangely it resonated with the waves of the sea.  It was some form of a lullaby.  My eyes began to shut as he continued to sing gently.  I heard the wind and the waves.  It calmed me and as I felt the relaxation throughout my body, my eyes were closing and closing, until they were completely shut.   Darkness. Darkness. Darkness. I don't know how many days went by, but I finally opened my eyes and felt relief.  I jerked and sat up to see where I was.  I had been lying on deadwood and leaves of palm trees.  The first thing I noticed was my bare feet and that I wasn't wearing any pants on.  I had my hot pink panties on and my t-shirt.  I tilted my head and found my jeans, my boots, and my socks lying on a big stone.  The sun was scorching hot, but I wasn't suffering from burns because I had been placed under a live oak tree.  I got up and reached for the socks.  I put them on and decided to walk around the beach on my underwear and t-shirt since panties looked like bikinis anyway.   I walked away from the trees and saw crabs walking at the seashore.  They looked funny as a group, they were using only four legs, although they had ten of them.  The waves hit their bodies and they almost sunk in the wet sand.  What did surprise me was that those little crabs were strong enough to withstand the current and they carried on.  Their eyes reminded me of goggles.  I avoided that area, although I did walk near the seashore.  As I did, I was shocked to see the yacht clinging sideways, half of the front of it was broken.  I ran to that area and stopped on the moist sand of the seashore. "Camilo!" I shouted, but I didn't get a response.  I was nervous as I saw the waves splash both on the large stones and the boat, but I felt I didn't have a choice.  So, I entered the water, and my socks immediately soaked.  I didn't take them off though because the stones were slippery and I felt that my socks would protect me a little.  I had to stop myself sometimes when the waves came and hit.  My heart was drumming faster and harder as I walked with each pace.  The edges of the rocks were sharp and I had to climb carefully up there or I'd get cut.  When I finally reached the boat I called out Camilo's name again. "Camilo, Camilo, Camilo!" I screamed into the boat that was clinging sideways.  I didn't get a response.  A huge wave came and I grabbed the yacht.  I tried to balance myself and my legs trembled.  God, I thought I was going to fall off, but luckily I didn't.  However, the water did soak me from the tip of my toes to the tip of my head.  I grabbed on tight.  Then the boat began to move. "Oh, s**t," I said afraid.  What was going on?  The boat was moving backward.  I couldn't release myself from the yacht and suddenly it slipped out of that state.  I fell right into the sinking yacht.   "Oh s**t.  Help!  Help!  I can't swim," I said scared as I saw the water invading the boat. I tried to climb up the boat, but it was to steep for me and I slipped right into the water.  The boat kept sinking and the worst thing about it was that my leg was pinned tight on the edge of the boat.  I pulled my leg as best I could until I began to lose my breath.  Small bubbles came out of my mouth as I desperately tried to get out.  I lost my entire breath and everything went dark again. I thought I wasn't going to wake up again, but my eyes popped open and the next thing I knew I was coughing out huge quantities of salty, ocean water. "Grateful that you're alive," he said.  I looked up at him and he was the hottest guy I had ever seen in my entire life.  He had brown and blond hair and the most beautiful blue eyes I had ever seen in my life.  His eyes captivated me because it was extremely rare for me to see someone with that eye color.  He then smiled showing his beautiful white teeth and he had the most amazing smile I had ever seen in my entire life.  His face mesmerized me.  He didn't have a shirt on and I could see that he was strong but slim.  He was on top of me and I was frozen for a moment. "Who are you?" I asked lying on the sand. "My name's Nicolas, but people call me Nick," he said.  He had a rare necklace that looked like it was made of shark teeth. "Nick?" I said.  It wasn't meant to come out as a question, but it did. "Yes?" He asked me.  I shook my head. "Um... do you think I can get up now?" I asked him.  He laughed and got off me. "Sorry," he said.  I almost said the same thing.  He felt good on top of me.  I sat up and rubbed my mouth. "Were you the one... helping me?" I asked him.  He nodded. "Yes," he said. I shook my head. "Nice to finally meet you," I said. "Likewise..." he replied and that's how I met Nick.
