The morning light had barely kissed the jagged mountain peaks when I awoke to the faint, echoing sounds of horns. Unlike previous days, the call was layered, complex, almost musical in its intensity and it carried a weight I could feel pressing against my chest. Today’s training was different. I could sense it before even rising: this was not about endurance, nor raw power, nor survival against shadows. Today would be about strategy, cooperation, and the kind of awareness that extended beyond the self. I pulled the cloak tighter around my shoulders and stepped onto the plateau. The frost crunched beneath my boots, sending shards of cold through my senses.
