The Shift
"I just love the willow in middle of the backyard. When you're back and we make kids, they can have a swing on the branch." said Emily with a ear to ear smile on her face, while speaking to her husband over the phone. She hung up the call and started unpacking her belongings.
Emily was nervous about the whole shifting thing but after all these years she finally got a chance to live in a place like Rodesville. A little secluded, lot's of space and a huge house. Nicholas was a flight attendant, therefore he couldn't move with Emily. He was thinking about leaving his job and try to do something with his writing skills. But that wasn't possible at least before a year. So, the only mode of communication was face time and calls.
After unboxing a lot of cartons and arranging the furniture, Emily decided to take a break and meet her neighbour to socialize. She walked down to find a pretty big house. Probably bigger than hers. She knocked the gate and a young woman opened it. She had a cute baby in her arms. "Hey, I'm Emily. I'm new here. Nice to meet ya. I'm your new neighbour.", said Emily with a greeting smile. "Hey Emily, nice to meet you too. I'm really sorry but I was in middle of something. Can we talk later? I'm just in some hurry", she quickly replied. "Oh okay. Sorry for disturbing. Talk to you later.", said Emily and left.
