Tragic Fire that ends life...
In the beautiful kingdom of Shiva dynasty, the entire palace was bustling with activity. Far ahead in the basements, it was very dark and quiet. Only someone's soft breathing could be heard. Suddenly the basement door opened with a sound and the room was filled with light when two soldiers entered with torches. Someone was sitting on the cold ground in the corner while his hands were tied with some cloth. On hearing the sound, the person sitting looked up. After looking up, the first thing he saw was a tall man standing in golden shining clothes.
"My Prince," the thin woman said. Her voice was quite weak, but the silence of the room
made her voice audible several times.
"Are you happy now?"
The tall man standing in the middle of the room was Prince Parth of the Shiva Dynasty. He looked at the weak woman sitting down. She was very weak and thin but had a strange smile on her face on her disfigured face. There were marks of injury on her cheeks which made her look very scary.
"If you had told me about the key, none of this would have happened. Why are you so stubborn?" Uvraj tried to speak in a soft voice.
"The key?" the thin woman said, bowing her head. "Uvraj, I don't know anything!"
Uvraj's face turned angry. "What do you mean to say that you don't know anything? Your father must have given you the key after his death but you are telling the truth. Do you want me to torture you so much that you will tell the truth after that?
"Aren't you torturing me yet, Prince?" the thin woman asked. "It's been three years, Prince, and it was probably today that we got married four years ago."
There was some different expression in Parth's eyes, he was trying to slow down his heart. He knows the woman sitting in front of him very well. She will not say anything that she does not want to say. Parth lowered his eyes and looked at her with a soft gaze.
"Why are you doing this? Why do you have to go through so much pain? Why don't you tell me where the keys are? I know you are very angry about your parents' death. I wanted to help but I was just a prince and had no say in father's affairs. He was the emperor here and I had to follow his path" He ran his hand through the woman's hair and tucked a strand behind her ear.
That woman's body was very weak and her hair was tangled and messy. Once very clean and beautiful, now very dirty and ugly.
The prince took a deep breath and said, "You are our wife, and I am your husband, so you should stay behind me and help me become powerful. Because in the future when I become the emperor, you will be the empress. So it is your duty to help us find the key. Once I become the emperor, you can rule over everyone." Parth just wanted her to tell the truth so that he could find the key.
"My Prince" the woman laughed softly but her voice was very heavy "I became the princess and now I am locked in this basement like a criminal, do you think I have so much strength in my body that I thought of becoming powerful or ruling over someone?" the woman laughed loudly, her laughter was fearful and full of pain which surprised even the soldiers carrying torches.
The prince stood up in anger and said, "You deceitful woman." Parth pointed towards the woman and said, "I was just giving you a chance to live your life happily but you are not agreeing? You are such a fool! I regret that I married you. It is the duty of a wife to serve her husband and you being my wife cannot help me in such a small thing. There is no place for you in my heart or my palace. Shivaay dynasty does not need a deceitful princess like you." Parth shouted.
The thin woman laughed loudly as if she did not hear the prince. Her eyes welled up and tears started falling from her eyes. Her skin has dried up and she does not feel any pain in her heart now. Is this the same gentle and polite prince whom she married four years ago? She sacrificed everything for him, just to become his wife, just to get his love and yet in the end he locked her in the basement and killed her very badly
Was this a gift of her sacrifice and love?
She raised her head and looked at the man who still looked good but was no longer crazy. She knew what kind of person was behind that smile. The woman smiled too.
"My Prince, you never did anything for me. You even forced me to kill my entire family and locked me up in the basement. I believed your fake evidence and never tried to save me and you're accusing me of being a traitor?" Her voice was pained but still loud. She dragged her body forward and banged her handcuffs on the ground, her eyes were so red with tears that it seemed like a pool of blood was flowing from them.
"I sacrificed everything for you but still you were not happy. Now what else do you want from me? Did you even consider me as your wife? Prince Parth you are nothing but a cheater who thinks of no one except himself. You accused my father of betraying the country and forced him to die. You made my mother a widow and forced her to die in pain. You did nothing even when I was accused of having an affair with someone else, you were there standing and watching how everyone was pushing me into the sea of death and now you want to know where the key is??" The woman laughed loudly and was staring at the man.
You know what? You are right. My father told me about the key and I have it," the woman said.
Parth's eyes widened in surprise and there was a new kind of light in them. "I knew it. Tell me, where is he? Tell me?"
"My prince, do you know what is the use of that key?" Instead of answering the prince, the woman said, "Even your father does not know about that key. Now that you want to know so much about it, listen, that key is a source of becoming very powerful. It is also said that the one who has that key can rule the country for 100 years."
Parth looked at him and clenched his fist. His body was trembling. He knew that the key had immense power. He had not even let his father know about it. But he was unable to find out anything about it. The key was with the late No. 4 soldier's head who was also his Yuvrani's father. If he had known that he would give the key to his daughter before his death, he would have taken good care of Yuvrani, even if only for the key.
"Marvi, we have been married for so many years and I love you but the charges against you are very big and there is proof on them. If you tell me about the key, I can talk to father that you are innocent and can help us, then he will get you out of here and give you back your place and you can give birth to the descendants of our dynasty. I will do anything so that father forgives you and gets you out of here and give you back your place and you can give birth to our heir. I will do anything so that father forgives you and gets you out of here, you just have to say yes." He was trying to trap her in his web. He thought that no woman would give up money and power. He was thinking that she would never refuse him and would say yes because she loved him and had given herself to him with all her heart.
Marvi laughed, "Yuvraj, I am your wife. Do you think I need all those things? Maybe I would have in the past, but not now."
Parth got very angry and shouted, "Okay, now if you don't want anything then I have nothing to say. I gave you many in-laws but you rejected them all. You could have left everything and started a new life but no, you have decided to die here." He stopped looking at her. It seemed as if he was waiting for her to say yes but she didn't say anything, she was just staring at Yuvraj without any expression.
Parth felt something strange inside him. Marvi always looked at him with a lot of love and concern. Whenever he went in front of her, she used to smile but not anymore. He felt as if there was a stranger sitting in front of him and not the woman who loved him. He clenched his fist and said, she wants the key but she will not give it. She wants it at any cost but Marvi is the only one who knows where the key is. he was angry-
"Soldiers, burn this whole place down. Tell everyone that the princess' health deteriorated and she started behaving strangely. While trying to calm her down, they accidentally set the basement on fire." The prince took one look at the woman and walked out.
Those two soldiers did not waste any time and started preparing. They were pouring oil all over the room from the outside and then threw their spices there before going out, Parth was standing outside and watching how the fire was slowly burning everything. He shouted again
"There is still time, if you listen to me I will save you, don't be foolish and tell me about the key"
Marvi stood up leaning her body against the wall. When she looked around, her heart sank. There was pain in his eyes and his heart was burning with revenge. She saw the man who once loved her. He was not only responsible for her condition but he sacrificed everything for her, even after that she would die like this? She was thinking why such atrocities were committed against her?
Even after the fire was all around she screamed and said "Prince Partha, I will remember this. You are a big cheater. You don't think that you will get away with this. If God doesn't punish you then I will come as a ghost and punish you. If I get one more turn then I swear to destroy you. I will not stop until I kill you with my own hands" she shouted
"Prince, I will never forgive you" and her scream was lost in the fire.
Parth stood there and saw everything. The clue of finding the key with Marvi also got burnt and ended. When she was not telling him where the key was, she was of no use to Parth and he could not let her live because she knew many deep secrets related to that key. She did not say anything even while dying. He had never seen such a stubborn woman till date.
"Go put out the fire and inform father" he ordered as he walked out of the basement
"Divij" he called his servant who was following him.
"Yes Yuvraj"
"Go and find the key, there must be some clues in Marvi's father's house. We have to find that key" said the Yuvraj and then walked out of there with long steps.
Divij looked back once and disappeared somewhere in the darkness.
