Poseidon was not happy.
Zeus had told him that he would wait until Odin's youngest had started a new war. Neither would tell the Allfather, for it was against the Ancient Laws.
But his brother had gone against his word.
So here the Sea God now stood, towering over his future son-in-law with a displeased look on his face.
"Lord Poseidon, " Thor bowed his head.
"Odinson."
The blond gulped at his tone and reluctantly met his gaze. A mirror image of Lady Persephone's eyes glared down at him, "Will you remain faithful to my daughter?"
Without hesitation, Thor nodded, "I would never stray from my future wife and Queen."
The Sea God sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose, "Your betrothal was not meant to be announced in front of everyone like this."
"No?"
"No. You were supposed to meet, then fight together on a battlefield and hopefully a relationship would have blossomed between the two of you."
"I am happy to know now, Lord Poseidon."
"Yes. But I don't think Perci is. And cut the Lord crap. It's annoying."
"My apologies. Would your daughter not have been more upset if I had known and she had not?"
Poseidon sighed again and nodded slowly, his gaze stared off into the distance. To himself, he whispered, "She deserves nothing short of the world."
"I will give her nine worlds."
About to leave, the God of the Sea placed his hand on the Norse God's shoulder, "You better be good to my daughter, Thor Odinson." He then leaned in close, to whisper in his ear. "Or not even the Allfather will be able to protect you from the Sea's Wrath."
Again, Thor gulped and Poseidon left with a nod, satisfied.
Frigga took his place, "How are you feeling?"
"Mother, not that I'm upset it is to Lady Persephone, but why must I marry?"
"I'm sorry, my son. But Odin and Zeus felt the best way to cement the alliance between Asgard and Olympus was to marry our greatest warriors."
Thor couldn't help but puff out his chest. His own father thought him the best warrior in Asgard.
The God of Thunder sighed when his mother straightened his tie again, "You look very handsome Thor, " Her face lit up with a brilliant smile, "I can't wait to meet her. It will be nice to have the pitter patter of little feet running through the palace again."
Thor's face flushed bright red, "Mother!" He whispered yelled.
"What?" Her grin turned devious and she chuckled, "Go find your runaway bride Thor. Be kind. Be gentle. Be understanding. She is a young warrior who has now been forced into a marriage. She will be skittish and may lash out. So calm her. Soothe her. And Lady Persephone will come to love you as you already do her."
Aphrodite fluttered near then disappeared again, but not before uttering, "I know! Love at first sight?! How romantic!!"
Thor shook his head, but then smiled sadly, "And if she doesn't?"
Loki walked up to them, standing by their sides with a mischievous grin on his face, "Let's find out."
The blond frowned and Frigga tsked, "She will Thor. Now go. Find her," The brunette Goddess patted his chest.
Another smile met his lips and he left the room.

Perci continued to stare out over the city, playing with the silver charm.
Up in the clouds, the demigoddess couldn't hear the New York traffic, even if it was rush hour, so she was shrouded with silence. The full moon gave her an almost ethereal look, the light giving her skin a soft glow.
That was how Thor found her, again his breath stolen by her beauty, "My Lady." He murmured.
The Daughter of the Seas turned her head, meeting his blue gaze, "Thor."
"I-"
"You-"
The demigoddess gave him a classic wolf glare.
He only just managed to not flinch, "Please. Speak first, my Lady."
Perci narrowed eyes, "I'm going to go home now. Tonight's been a bit of a shocker," She mumbled.
Thor nodded.
Perci looked at the silver pendant in her hand. She moved, stepping closer until they were only a metre apart, "Here, " The demigoddess whispered.
Perci took the silver chain she had played with and reached up to clasp it around Thor's neck. A blush spread across her cheeks and the bridge of her nose at being so close to the one she was supposed to marry.
You're not supposed to blush!! Gods dammit Perci!! Who are you, Aphrodite?!?!
Not to mention how his breath fanned across her face.
Thor took hold of the silver charm and gave it a small smile. Looking at the blushing face of his betrothed, his own face softened, "I can not take a gift and not give one in return."
Thanking Lady Aphrodite for the necklace, the blond God gently brushed aside her silken locks, giving her goosebumps, clasping the delicate chain around her neck.
With the golden pendant now resting between her collarbones, Perci looked up at him once again. The God just couldn't help but think how beautiful this young woman looked in the moonlight.
She leaned up on her tiptoes and kissed his cheek, "Goodnight Thor."
"Pleasant dreams, my Lady,"
A faint smile graced her face and Perci dissipated into sea mist. The lingering scent of the ocean and a mysterious flower was left in her place.
Thor touched his cheek in amazement. The Persephone Jackson had just kissed his cheek.
Holy Crap.
The Norse God couldn't help but chuckle. Maybe his mother was right and his betrothed would come to love him. Thor couldn't help but compare her to a tiger. Beauty beyond comparison, but get too close and she'll rip your head off.
Odin suddenly stepped out from the shadows, "I'm proud of you my son."
"How so Father?"
The Allfather smiled widely, "You're set to marry and you're very calm."
The younger God faced him, "I have an intelligent, beautiful and fearsome bride to be. I want nothing more than to get to know her...for now."
The one-eyed God stepped forward and hugged his son. He froze in his father's embrace, not at all expecting this. He must have had some of the Greek Nectar.
"Good luck, Son. Now let us leave Midgard. I crave my bed. Heimdall!! Open the Bifrost!!"

Perci was braiding the little girl's blonde, curly locks with white thornless roses. Unable to control herself, one of her hands dropped to caress her stomach, a small bump already visible, "Do you wish for a brother or a sister, Roselynn?"
The little girl shrugged, sitting perfectly still as Perci finished her hair, "When do you think we should tell your Father?"
Roselynn turned to face her, with her green eyes wide, "I don't know. Will...you stop loving me when they're born?"
Perci looked at her daughter with an amused smile, "I will always love my little Rose. And you will always be in my heart, no one could ever replace you. The baby will find another place in my heart because you will never leave it."
The blonde girl grinned, her smile brighter than the stars.
