“It’s A Surprise, Darling!”

The Seven were seated in the Pavilion, each at Perci's table. They'd already sacrificed the best part of their meal, leaving the delicious smell filling the Hall. Annabeth was chewing her bottom lip when she then turned to her best friend, "Something's not right. The last time we got an actual invitation was when... Luke stole Zeus's Master Bolt." Obviously, the blonde was still a little sore over the subject of the Son of Hermes. Piper placed her hand on Annabeth's shoulder, "I think you're right, Zeus is planning something." Jason frowned, "You don't think we're being invited because we saved the world? I mean come on, the Gods wouldn't be planning something. Not after all this mess with Gaia and the Giants." Perci shrugged at him and Leo had a thoughtful look on his impish face. His lips spread into a wide grin and he burst into flames...again. Hazel rolled her golden eyes and the Daughter of Poseidon threw her glass of water at him. They all laughed as the Son of Hephaestus spat out the water. "Alright man, " Jason then said, "Tell us what you're thinking." "I think, my main man, that the Gods are gonna reward us for all the crap we've had to put up with." Frank nodded slowly, believing the Repair Boy, "But why would Chiron look so... I dunno weird?" Hazel then spoke up, "Maybe it's another quest?" Perci groaned, throwing her head back, "I wanted a f*****g break and to check out the new game room that Triton had Dad build." Leo held a hand over his heart, mocking her with a face of hurt and sadness, "And what about me?" Piper smirked and raised an eyebrow, "What about you?" They all laughed again before the fireproof demigod turned back to Perci, now serious, "Still. I wanna see." She blew a raspberry at him and crossed her hands behind her head, "Can you breathe underwater?" The boy pouted and folded his arms like a disappointed child. Piper then sat up, realisation lighting up her features, her multicoloured eyes brightened, "Guys. The Solstice is tomorrow." :3 In Cabin 3, the four girls of the Seven were gathered in Perci's walk-in closet. She hated it and protested against having it, but it was a gift from Piper's mum. Sadly, the demigoddess couldn't make a good mess without her clothes flying back into the closet, folded or on a hanger, clean and pressed. She liked making messes. "If Drew ever found out you had this, she either beg to be your friend or just break in." Piper tutted. "I know she would, Darling and I must say I am very disappointed in her." "Lady Venus!" Hazel bowed her head respectfully, Piper smiled and greeted Aphrodite with a simple hello, Annabeth sneered slightly and Perci said, "Sup Dite." The Lady of Love was looking down at her girls, or at least she considered them all hers, with four black dress bags on her arm. She laid them down in Perci's bunk. "Can we help you?" Annabeth muttered. A brilliant smile lit up Aphrodite's perfect face, "Yes my little Doves. Now tomorrow will be a very special night and I want all of you looking your best, especially you Persephone." The Daughter of the Seas grumbled, "It's Perci. Wait! What?! What do you mean special?" But the Goddess tapped a finger against her lips, "It's a surprise darling! I can't spoil it." She then waved to the clothing bags, "These are for you. And while I'm here, I'll do your hair and makeup.” Perci and Annabeth were about to yell a Hades No when Aphrodite snapped her fingers. A flurry of pink mist hit each of them, styling their hair in a different way and painting their faces with makeup that would make a runway model jealous. "Um... Mum?" "Yes, Piper dear?" "Wouldn't doing our make up and hair now... Be pointless? Why not do it tomorrow...you know because the Summer Solstice is tomorrow." Aphrodite stared at her daughter with an almost clueless face. But then she began to laugh, "No no. I will be busy tomorrow. Hera and myself have too much to organise. So I'm here today and I've blessed your looks so when you wake up and get ready for the ball, everything will still be perfect for my girls. All you'll need to do it put on your dresses and your shoes," She then winked and whispered, "Maybe forget the underwear?" Hazel gasped scandalously and threw a pillow at the laughing Goddess. The other three demigoddesses were blushing wildly with wide eyes. Annabeth scrunched up her nose like she could smell something terrible. Piper sighed, exhausted by her mother's antics. Perci fell onto her bed, face buried deep into her pillows. The Daughter of Hades gasped again, at the filthy words that left her friend's mouth. :3 With the Goddess of Love now gone, Piper couldn't help her godly side. She needed to take a peak. The Daughter of Aphrodite handed each girl their dress, before opening her own. Now Piper absolutely hated the colour pink. She did. But that hate was overcome by how beautiful the dress was. Hazel also opened her dress bag and her golden eyes lit up with seeing the turquoise gown. It was somewhat respectful and didn't show too much skin, unlike Piper and Annabeth's dress. Speaking of, the Daughter of Wisdom was stunned to see the stormy grey dress. It felt so soft, like new petals on a rose and she loved it. Perci, however, didn't want to look at hers. She wanted to wait until tomorrow, but poking out the top, she could only just see a small bit of dark blue. And that was all she needed, putting the bag back onto the bed. None of the girls liked dresses, but Aphrodite's taste in clothing was practically perfect. :3 Three boys were eyeing their ties with a somewhat confused look. Each had a fitted, charcoal black suit, but different coloured ties and pocket squares. Leo's was orange, Frank's turquoise and Jason's pink. "Really Lady Venus? Pink?" "I wonder what's so important about this ball. I didn't even know that Gods threw balls. Kinda nineteenth century, doesn't it?" Frank shrugged at Leo. Jason was still grumbling over the colour of his tie, "Orange for Repair Boy, blue for the Praetor. And I get pink. f*****g pink." Aphrodite's voice then filled the room, "Stop complaining darling." The Roman pouted, looking like a scolded child. "I don't think you should upset Venus, Jason. Remember Clarisse did that a couple weeks ago and her hair was dyed pink. No one could get it out," Frank stressed. The Son of Jupiter sighed. "And it's still pink man," Leo snickered. :3 That night Perci had the weirdest dream. :3 She was walking through a long grassed field. "Mummy! Are you listening to me?" A little girl's voice dropped Perci's gaze down to see her hand being clutched by said girl. The girl's wild, untamed hair was an almost mirror image of her own. Except for the fact that it was a light blonde. Her eyes were the same as the Daughter of Poseidon, except for the little gold flecks. The little girl's nose was scrunched up in frustration, just like Perci's did. With no control of her own actions, the demigoddess crouched in front of the girl. "I'm sorry, my love. What were you saying?" "When is Daddy coming home?" "I'm unsure, Roselynn. But he will be soon, " She kissed the little girl's forehead and drew her into a tight hug. Then, over her...daughter's shoulder, saw a man leaning against a tree, his arms crossed while a smirk danced across his face, "Maybe you should turn around, my little rose and see who is here." The little girl did and saw the man. She took off, running as fast as she could, "Daddy!!"
