Silas pushed her aside and took the red suitcase from her, placing it in the trunk.
The woman followed closely, her gaze full of longing and attachment.
"Silas, I’ve been waiting for hours. If Auntie hadn’t called you, would you have even bothered to pick me up?"

Sabrina pouted. "I’m still your fiancée. You’ve been away on business for so long. Can’t I come check on you?"
Silas got into the car, lit a cigarette, and spoke in a low, steady voice. "Tomorrow my secretary will take you around Los Angeles. Buy whatever you like. The day after, she’ll take you back."
