Memories Lead To Enemies

1715 Words

Vincent's POV I haven’t seen much of Chiara in the daytime. Tullio isn’t out of danger yet and requires constant medical observation, even though his breathing vent has been removed. To ensure we are still able to have guaranteed quality time together, Chiara has watched him through the day, and her father has watched him through the night. Now and again, Tullio will have moments of lucidity, and he knows he is safe. It was distressing when he first realised that his nightmare was over. He had held on to Chiara’s hand and sobbed in relief. I could only feel pity for him. It made me more determined to avenge him, while my lover cares for his recovery. When possible, he has tried to answer my questions, but the answers have been either blurry or useless with regard to what I need to know.
