Just a mercy

Episode one

a throne without a tail will not die of files.hakeem was tired after workng hard in the farm. he engaged in farming after graduating for over six years without a while collar job .he did not grow yams because cultivating yams required more attention than other crops.he concentrated on cassava and horticulture.

hakeem was dark in complexion and average in height ,he was humble and generous in spirit .he took to agriculture after he had searched for employment in vain .at the last count .he had submitted application letters to not less. Thank five hundred establishments and attended interview without success.

fully informed that their is nothing to rush about . Hakeem retired to farming for self reliance.it was the last resort to make something out of a bad situation out so as to properly position himself in a way he could help his aging father and family.

. One who has nothing to do does not scoop fire on his lap . Hakeem unlocked his door and fearfully walked inside, he looked around but did not see anyone.he met Jessica absence.jessica was yet to bear him a child after six years of marriage b. He came out and walked round the old modern house . He was scarching for his wife. Jessica did not accompany him to farm .they lived together in a mud house surrounded by bush.

At the front of the building was a narrow road that Hakeem swept daily before going to the farm. The house was one of his benefits from mark his father.mark had two mud houses but he offered one to Hakeem to settle with Jessica when they came back from the city.

Where has Jessica gone to? Hakeem asked himself . the environment was noiseless as he hurried back into the house .he was hungry.hakeem did not eat before the left for farm in the morning .his corns were not yet ripe .he roasted only two lobes of it which did not overcome the battle of hunger inside him.

Hunger has eaten so deep into his stomach that Hakeem was not seeing clearly and could hardly recognize Jessica when he saw her . He had no strength . Hakeem dropped his machete and the weeding cutlass on the ground .he moved to the end that Jessica usually kept his food but a big drum sounds better only from a distance.

After all Hakeem struggle trying to put food on the table make his wife happy, Jessica didn't appreciate it , she was wanted to be wearing luxury wigs, handbags and other things . Jessica haven't regarded his husband effort in the family .she always compared him with other career man that drives cars and own properties in the city, Hakeem felt disappointed when ever Jessica start bringing the conversation to him , he got tired of everything and he's trying his best to explain Jessica that he's trying his best that with time God will show them mercy . sometimes Jessica indulge in her responsibility , she refuses Hakeem kiss neither to make love with her husband. Hakeem got sick and tired of everything and advice himself to give Jessica a little space before Jessica concluded that she wanted to leave the marriage.mark begged her and try to convince her to stay but she refuse.

Jessica was completely rude and had no etiquette.she run away from home after her father had punished her for committing a. Offense and never returned again.itbwas her grandmother that looked after her .she pretended to be honest when Hakeem met her but character is like a pregnancy that cannot be hidden for long.

Please....... don't divorce me..... Hakeem begged with tears rolling down his cheeks

Why won't I? It takes determination and strong effort to keep one's drama alive but you refuse to welcome this fact . I'm going back to city since you are destined to suffer.

Hakeem stood up and came closer to her.... money was his problem.hevwas willing to relocate to the city with the little he has realized but Jessica was not the managing type.she cannot endure the conflict that characterized hardship which was not good for Hakeem.

I see in you only the bone., Jessica cut him short, I have waited in vain to see the flesh I. You .I want to let you know that these Teeth are not strong enough to break that bone.she opened her mouth shaking her teeth.she frowned.she did not open her heart for ikenna s place to have the needed space.

Bear with me Jessica for I know that God will help his tremendous blessings upon us soon.our future is bright Hakeem told her.

Jessica stood up and went back to her room sadly.she has forgotten that being patient for a moment can provide comfort for many years.
