Returning home a day after all of this went down knowing mom won't be there waiting for me anymore breaks me inside. As Jackson's parents pull up in the driveway of my house full of memories I stare at it fully expecting it to have been burned down. Apart from the crime tape all around the house, it looks to be the same. I walk inside feeling the presence of my mom there as I relive the pain and fear I felt that fateful night. Knowing I will never see mom again is hard for me to think about but I know she will always be around when I need her.
