The car stopped. Emily looked out the window. She saw a big, beautiful house. It was very grand. It had many windows. It had a big door. It was not like her palace, but it was still very big. She thought, "Is this my new palace? Is this where my husband will live?" She looked at Noah. He was smiling at her. He thought, "She will be so happy here." Emily got out of the car. She walked slowly to the house. She looked at the walls. She looked at the roof. She touched a flower near the door. It was very soft. She thought, "This is a very strange place". She turned to Noah and asked, "Is this my new palace?" Noah laughed. "This is our home," he said. "This is where we live." Emily's face changed. "Our home?" she asked. "Are you and I the only two people who live here?" Noah looked at her, confused. "No," he said. "There are other people who live here." Emily was sad. She did not like this idea. "Oh no!" she said. "Where are all the handsome men? I should have many handsome men in my house! This is not good." Noah was surprised by her words. He did not understand why she wanted many handsome men. He thought, "Why does she want other men?" He was confused by her views on men and women. But he was also happy. He thought, "She is back! My Emily is finally back!" He thought she was cute when she was angry. He smiled at her. They went inside the house. It was very big and very beautiful. Everything was new to Emily. She asked many questions. "What is this?" she asked, pointing at a lamp. "It is a lamp," Noah said. "What does it do?" she asked. "It gives light," Noah replied. Emily then asked "Why does it do that?" Noah was confused again. He did not know how to answer her questions. She asked so many strange questions. He thought, "She is so strange, but so cute. It is good she is back." He just kept smiling at her. He was so happy to have her back. He believed God had sent her back because of his prayers. Emily didn't like his silence. She asked again, "Why is it doing that, servant man?" "I am very hungry," Emily said. "Where is the meat?" Noah smiled. "We can eat steak," he said. "Do you like steak?" "Yes!" Emily said. "I love meat! I want the best meat!" Noah took her to the dining room. It was a very big room. There was a long table with many chairs. There were many plates and spoons. Emily had never seen so many dishes. "Sit down," Noah said. "We will eat now." Emily sat down. She looked at the table. She waited for the meat. She was very hungry. The food came. There were many plates of steak. It smelled very good. Emily was very happy. She started to eat. She ate one steak. Then another. Then another. She ate five steaks! Noah was shocked. He had never seen anyone eat so much. He thought, "She has a big appetite!" He watched her, still smiling. He thought, "She is so cute, even when she is eating so much." Suddenly, the phone rang. It was for Noah. He had to leave for business reasons. He had to see his adoptive father. Noah looked at Emily. "I have to go," he said. "I will be back soon." Emily was not concerned. "Okay," she said. "I do not care. Just find someone else to show me around. I want to see the whole house. And I want more food!" Noah laughed. "Okay," he said. He left the room. Emily was alone again. She looked at the table. She looked at the food. She thought, "I want more steak!" She felt very happy. She thought, "This place is not bad. There is a lot of food." She did not care that Noah was gone. She just wanted to explore. She just wanted to eat. She just wanted to be happy. She was curious about everything. She was not afraid. She was ready for a new adventure. After Noah left, Emily looked around for the servant man. She shouted, "Hey, old servant man! Where are you?" Butler Brown came in to the dining room. Emily gestured for him to come closer. "I want to eat more. Get me more food!" Butler Brown was very tired. He had never met anyone like this young woman before. He sighed and went to get more food for her. When he came back, Emily had more questions. "Show me around!" Emily said to Butler Brown. "I want to see all of this place." Butler Brown thought, "This is going to be a very long day!" He showed her the living room, which she thought was very big, but not as nice as her own palace. She looked around and commented on all the strange looking objects. She asked him why there were so many lights. She asked him why the chairs were so soft. She asked him about the big box that had moving pictures (the TV). She thought the moving images were like magic. She wanted to know how this could be possible. Butler Brown did not explain it to her, he thought she would never understand. He just told her, "It is from this world, princess." Emily was not impressed. "My palace is bigger!" She said. "And I have lots of magic too! This place is okay, but not as nice as my home!" She was always going to compare it with her home. It was the only thing she knew so far. Emily was still hungry. She asked Butler Brown, "Where is the terrifying carnivorous animal?" Butler Brown was confused. "What?" he asked. "The meat!" Emily said. "Where is the animal that the meat comes from? I want to see it!" Butler Brown realized that she did not know where meat comes from. He did not know how to tell her about this "new world". He took her to the kitchen. He showed her the refrigerator. "This is where the meat is kept. It keeps it cold." Emily was shocked. She had never seen anything like it. She looked inside. She saw many types of meat. She saw many vegetables. She thought, "This is like a magic box!" She touched it. It was very cold. She jumped back, alarmed. "Where are the animals?" she asked again. Butler Brown sighed. "They are not here," he said. "They are on farms. This meat comes from those animals, but we buy the meat at the store." He did not know how else to explain this to her. It was just too much for a simple explanation. Emily was still very confused. She did not understand this new world at all. She thought, "This place is very strange. It is not like my home. But it is fun!" She was brave. She was ready for a new adventure. She was ready to learn more about this strange world. And she was always ready for more food. Emily was thinking again. She thought, "This new house is very big, and there is a lot of food. But where are all the handsome men? And this new 'magic' box that makes things cold, is so strange! And what are farms? And what is a*****e? What does it mean to buy something?" She knew she had many questions and needed answers. But, she was sure she could handle it. She was very smart. She was a prince, after all. She would learn everything she needed to learn. She looked at Butler Brown, who was looking very tired. She thought, "This old man is silly, but he is okay. Maybe I will find some other, better, servants in this house. But for now, I think I need to find more food." She smiled. She was not afraid. She was ready for a new day.
