Ethan started traveling back and forth between home and the Southwest.
One afternoon, when I went to pick Cathy up, I saw that she'd already been waiting outside the school for a while.
The second Cathy spotted Ethan, she walked around him.
He didn't chase after her. He simply handed the water bottle to the security guard at the gate.
By the time it made its way to me, there was a small sticky note attached.
Make sure Cathy drinks enough water. Don't let her catch a cold.
I showed Cathy the note.
She pouted. "Does Dad not remember that I don't use this bottle anymore? I used this in kindergarten. I'm a big girl now."
I smiled. "He has too many things to remember."
