Raven cuddled into her pillow and blankets on the bed, waking when she heard the door to the suite open, and then close. She panicked for a second before remembering where she was, and settled back into bed. She figured her brothers were leaving since she didn't feel them still in bed. She was in heaven in this comfortable bed, not wanting to leave. She had never had such a good sleep.
She gasped when she was suddenly tackled, and hugged so tightly.
Her eyes snapped open and prepared to take a swing at the intruder. "What do you think you are- Alison?!" Her eyes instantly teared up at the familiar scent and face of her best friend. "Hi Raven, miss me?" She heard the sweet voice of her friend followed by a soft giggle. She wrapped her arms around Alison, hugging her tightly. Alison was her best friend. She considered her the sister she never had. They would often end up in the dungeon together, even purposely getting into trouble, so the other didn't have to be alone. The dungeon was not a nice place to be alone in.
Raven released Alison, placing both her hands on her cheeks, making sure she was real. "Alison, I am so happy you're alive!" She quickly hugged her again as tight as she could.
"I missed you too, Raven, but I can't breathe!"
She giggled softly, releasing her. "Sorry I'm just so happy."
Alison smiled at Raven as they just held each other. " I am so glad you escaped. I was so worried about you! How did you manage to escape? I thought the Alpha would have locked you in the dungeon until you turned eighteen to claim you." She wiped tears from her eyes, sniffling softly.
"Mom helped us escape. She didn't tell us anything. Just that when Kai and Koe came for me, we had to run, and never come back. She said to run as far as we could, and live a better life. She wished she could have freed us sooner. I just wish she could have come with us." She let out a soft sob, as she cried on Alison's shoulder, and she rubbed her back soothingly.
Alison tilted her chin up to look at her. "You and your brothers are safe here now, and that is what is important. That is all your Mom wanted for you, and we will figure out a way to save her too. Now let's get out of bed, get you dressed in some new clothes, and go have some breakfast. You are going to love this pack Rae!" She smiled on hearing her call her by her nickname. "You should see some of the yummy wolves in this pack!"
Raven giggled, cheering up slightly as she slipped out of bed, walked over to the clothing rack to pick out a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. She was happy she wasn't being forced to wear a skirt or a dress. "Have you found your mate yet?" She started changing into a new outfit. She noticed a blush come across Alison face, and walked over to her excited. " You did! You found your mate!"
Alison nodded eagerly with a soft smile. "We haven't told anyone yet. I found them on my birthday, in fact." She placed her hand on her chest. " I was suffering in pain from my shift, and they showed up helping me through the entire thing. We then spent the night running in the forest together. We are taking things slow. I am not exactly ready yet, which they are fine with. Told me to take as much time as I need." She giggled when Alison linked their arms together. "Now how about some breakfast!"
Raven smiled at Alison, following her out of the room and into the hall towards the elevator. "Well, when you are ready I would love to meet the one who claimed your heart. I have to make sure your mate is absolutely perfect for you, since you deserve the best, Ali."
Alison giggled softly, pressing the button on the first floor. "I can't wait for your birthday to see if you will find your mate here too. I can't wait to make sure I approve of them." She blushed with a huge smile, nodding. She waited for the elevator doors to open before they stepped out, and she was led to the dining hall. She hoped she would find her true mate, the one made perfectly for her just like her friend.
