AsherI ran after Exos, he needed me right now but I also really needed him. I found him hiding under the bleachers, looking every bit demon. His anger always did seem to turn him from a s*x God to the devil. I made slow precise moves so he wouldn't attack, he knew I was a friend. I was the only one who has faced his wrath willingly and survived it. I threw myself at him so torn apart. He needed this probably more than I did. My world has been rocked and then it fell off its axis into a vat of acid. I needed my best friend. He grabbed me tightly and pulled me into a hug, one we both desperately needed. We had joined the pack together, if one didn't get in neither did the other. Just thinking of it had me clutch him harder. They had turned me down because I wasn't as gifted and Exos lost his s**t. They accepted me as a truce to calm his demons. I guess creating a blood bind did have its drawbacks but it steadied us more than anything else had. I could pull him back from the edge and he could find me when my demons took control and pull me back to the light. "She's going to be fine… she has too" was gruffly whispered into my ear. 

"You can't know, it's physically impossible for you to know. So many are watching her and that's just the ones we are aware of. She attracts trouble like honey attracts bees." I yelled. Who cares we are alone. "Our mate might be strong and vicious. I saw what she did to you, everyone did. She gave you what you wanted then stole the win. She has to be strong, she took Paxton down afterwards but she's ours. We should be the ones protecting her. Instead she is gone, our mate is away with 'her' pack… she doesn't need us" the rejection heavy in my voice and heart.

 I moved to step away from him. I needed to feel the pain that was coming but Exos grabbed my wrist and pulled me back. He grabbed my chin to make me look at him. "She's strong and spiteful. You heard Titus she doesn't feel as much, he practically said she couldn't feel anything. I looked into her piercing fiery eyes and do you know what I saw I f*****g saw emotions, she just doesnt know how to use them. That's our job to help our mate and then mate her." I tried to turn away but he just gripped me harder. "We will all get our shot at mating her and we will protect her even if it's from the sidelines. Last thing we need is everyone knowing all of us are hers. You guys have it easy so stop pouting. I have to feed, I want to feed on her but I can't because everyone else sounds disgusting and makes me feel like I'm cheating. You guys don't have to deal with it so f*****g stop pitying yourself. f*****g look at me" he demanded. As I did he kissed me, it was strong and full of fire and passion. I freaked out and shifted into a fox. Causing my form to slip through his hands allowing me the chance to run away. I had told him about my issues before we did the blood bond. He said if I ever got back he would shock me back to me but I wasn't expecting an illicit kiss from him. Especially not after we had found our mate and realized how much trouble she truly is in. Without any of her mates to protect her. "What do I do, my world has gone of course. She f*****g seduced me, an incubus, its always the other way around. The world feels wrong but so right. I can't get her out of my head. She fought against my hold on her and then she turned it on me. Everything is skewed, what do I do" was the plea that the wind tore away to show me. I wasn't the only one here that was lost, my best friend was too and he needed me. I could be there for him as he was for me. I slunk over to him and curled up on his lap offering the only comfort and support I currently could give just by being with him as he struggled through the thoughts and feelings in his head. He absent-mindedly started to rub my back. It felt good but not as good as hers felt earlier. How could the day get any worse than it already was? I should've known better to think that. After we had both calmed down, the forest we were gazing as it lit up like a bonfire. Panic crossed my eyes and I looked to Exos and saw him looking ready to run. I got off his lap and started running, didn't have to look back to know he was right there with me. Our territory was in that direction and if my eyes weren't decieving me it wasn't just in the direction of our territory but it was our territory.
