Sky slowly came round, her eyes peeling open haltingly. Her body still felt like it was being held down with lead. Her head felt like it had been split in two. She couldn’t work out where she was, her mind totally blank until the memories of the kidnapping slowly but surely came to the surface, and her jaw clenched in a fury. ‘Guys... where are you? What’s happening? I still can’t move. Please tell me you have a plan?’ She begged her mates mentally, knowing rationally that they were unlikely to be able to hear her but not being able to stop herself from reaching out regardless. Slowly but surely, she managed to blink away enough of the stickiness in her eyes; her toes and ankles began to feel a little lighter, and she managed to wiggle them slightly.
