Series-Love and Ego Episode 1 Introduction
Episode 1: Singhana Bungalow
Raj Singhana stepped out of his sleek, black sedan, his eyes scanning the sprawling Singhana Bungalow. The grandeur of his family's estate never failed to impress him. With a smirk, he adjusted his cufflinks and began walking toward the entrance.
As he entered the bungalow, the sound of his footsteps echoed through the marble-floored hallway. His gaze fell upon the familiar portrait of his ancestors, their stern expressions seeming to watch his every move.
"Raj beta, aap aa gaye?" (Raj, beta, you've arrived?) His uncle, Vikram Singhana, emerged from the living room, a warm smile on his face.
Raj nodded curtly, his expression unreadable. "Haan, chachu. Main aa gaya hoon." (Yes, uncle. I've arrived.)
Raj's eyes showed a hint of concern. "Dadi's health is not good?" he asked his uncle.
Vikram Singhana nodded solemnly. "Yes, Raj. Dadi's health has been poor for a few days. The doctor says she needs rest."
Raj listened to his uncle and then headed towards his room. He felt a strange sensation in his heart. He loved his grandmother dearly, and hearing about her poor health made his heart skip a beat.
His grandmother refused to take her medicine because she wanted to get Raj married. Raj said, "Don't be stubborn, Dadi, just take the medicine." But Dadi refused. Raj, getting angry, said, "You know why I don't want to get married, don't you, Dadi?" Dadi replied, "You're paying the price for your mother's mistakes, Raj. Don't curse this family." Raj, enraged, slammed the glass down and stormed out of the room.
His uncle, trying to calm Raj's grandmother, said, "From now on, there's no need to mention Raj's mother's name. You know why, right?" Just then, the sound of Raj's car arriving could be heard outside.
Dadi urged Chacha to stop Raj, but by then, Raj had already left.
Scene: Village Naamgadh
The sun was setting over the small village of Naamgadh, casting a warm orange glow over the thatched roofs and the bustling village square. Children were playing outside, their laughter and shouts filling the air.
In a small house on the outskirts of the village, Shruti Kashyap was busy helping her uncle, the village sarpanch, with his evening tea. Her long, dark hair was tied back in a ponytail, and her bright smile lit up the room.
As she handed her uncle a steaming cup of tea, Shruti's eyes wandered out the window, watching as the villagers went about their evening routines. Little did she know, a stranger was about to enter her life, changing everything forever.
Chachi, who disliked Shruti, pulled her into the kitchen and scolded her, saying:
"Did your parents leave any servants behind to cook for you? You haven't even made dinner yet! Your parents abandoned you and left us with the burden. They're dear to God now, but they left their responsibility behind. If they had taken you with them, our burden would have been reduced.
Just then, Shruti's uncle arrived, and she ran to hug him, crying. Chachi said, "I don't know what kind of spell she's cast on you." The uncle silenced her with a gentle gesture, but Chachi sent him to fetch groceries from the market and ordered Shruti to cook dinner. Shruti, still crying, prepared the meal.
As the evening falls, Shruti's uncle brings up the topic of her marriage, saying, "It's time we start looking for a suitable groom for Shruti.
"I've found a suitable boy for Shruti," said her uncle. "He's the son of the sarpanch of Junagadh, and they have a lot of land and wealth. Shruti will live a happy life."
However, Chachi was thinking of this alliance for her own daughter, Surbhi, but she didn't reveal this to her uncle. Instead, she urged him, "Please finalize the alliance quickly."
Her uncle replied, "I'll need four days to travel there and back." Chachi agreed, saying, "Fine, but make sure to visit the Krishna temple on your way back, and don't delay, or we might lose this good opportunity."
Chacha was leaving the next morning to see the boy. His wife, Chachi, called her brother and informed him about the entire situation. Her brother reassured her, "Don't worry, we'll take care of Shruti, we'll do something for her.
After that, Chachi's brother arrives with a 65-year-old old man, who is willing to pay 2 lakh rupees to marry Shruti. Since Chachi's husband is away, Chachi agrees to the marriage, but only if it takes place within two days. Surbhi, Chachi's daughter, overhears this conversation and informs Shruti about the plan.
Surbhi tells Shruti, "You should run away from here. I'm with you." But Shruti, crying, replies, "After my parents left, Chacha and Chachi are all I have. I won't betray their trust. I won't run away.
The very next day, Chachi makes all the arrangements for the wedding, and Shruti's wedding procession arrives. 18-year-old Shruti looks extremely beautiful in her red wedding attire, while her 65-year-old groom is panting heavily. Shruti looks like a living corpse.
Raj Singh, from Singhana Industries, was on his way to Namgadh for some work related to their oldest factory.
As soon as Raj reaches Namgadh, he realizes he needs laborers for his factory. A local person suggests that he seek help from the sarpanch. Raj heads towards the sarpanch's house.
As Raj reaches the sarpanch's house, Shruti's fate is being sealed inside. Will Raj be able to save Shruti? Will Shruti's fate rescue her from this hell? Will Raj change Shruti's fate?
