Exhaustion didn't catch up with my body until much later, when I woke up feeling like I couldn't get up.
My whole body feels like it's being held down and all of my nerves seemed to stop working as the loud ringing surrounded the four corners of my room. The noise was so shrill and consistent and I didn't even know if it was coming from my phone or my clock. Maybe it was both.
Groaning, I strained to move an inch to reach for my phone on the bedside table where my alarm clock was blaring as well. Hastily swiping on my phone and smashing the alarm clock, only then did I notice the time and if my body and mind weren't as exhausted as they were now, I probably would've shot out of bed because of how late the time was.
