"She pushed me!" Victoria wailed, her emerald eyes shimmering with tears that seemed ready to spill. Her voice trembled, as if each word caused her pain. "She pushed me during my heart episode."
I stood frozen, a cold knot forming in my stomach. Her sobs sliced through the silence of the room, loud and damning.
