Chapter 15

P.O.V. levi

I was so pissed that ren talked to me the way she did no she-wolf has ever talked to me that way before and it made me and my wolf jax very angry it took everything in me to control him, i cant believe that she found her mate in that pack, we can't go up against them they are to strong and to big. I have to come up with another way to get her. I just don’t know how yet. If I don’t act fast I will pay the price for my failure.

I will not die because of that little b***h, we would have never known that she shifted if it wasn't for that she-wolf that came to me the night she shifted, she should be here any minute.

P.O.V. jack

Somehow Jaden escaped from the guards that were taking her to the cells. She left pack borders before the guards woke up and sent out the alarm. Something felt off about how she got away without being detected. There has to be someone helping her. But there also hasn't been any sightings of her around the pack borders. I want to know where she went.

Someone knocks on my office door taking me out of my thoughts i sigh “come in”

Ren walks in looking around the office.

“It took me forever to find your office in a huff, she looks so cute when she's frustrated.

“What can i help you with my love” i say standing up and meeting her half way.

“Oh nothing, I just wanted to see your office,” she says with a smile. Goddess knows I love it when she smiles at me like that. It always makes me want to take her right here right now.

She sighs and sits on the couch.

“What's wrong?” I ask sitting down next to her.

“Something doesn't feel right….phoenix and i have been feeling like something bad is coming but we can't point what it is”

“I have felt the same way lately…right now its a waiting game”

She pulls her knees up to her chest and rests her head on her knees.

“I don't like this feeling jack it's making me sick”

I pull her to me putting her on my lap “i won't let anything happen to you i promise i will protect you plus you have the whole pack”

Suddenly thomas bursts through the door out of breath making ren jump in my arms terror written all over her face. I knew she was struggling with what happened but I hadn't realized how bad she was still dealing with what happened to her. She just barely started letting me touch her.

“Thomas, what is the meaning of you busting in here like that” I snapped at him.

“Someone is at the border wanting to speak to you” he says out of breath.

Ren looks at me scared that this might be the reason that she's been having a bad feeling.

“Do you want to come with me?” I ask Ren. I stood up and put her feet on the ground.

She just nods, I take her hand and start leading her towards the door. Thomas on our heels.

“Did this person say who they were or why they wanted to speak to me?” I asked Thomas, and get into my car.

“No he refused to tell anyone anything just kept saying that he wanted to speak to the alpha of this pack”

“When we get close to the border I am going to drop you off by the woods and I want you to get more warriors just in case this turns into a bad situation” I say pulling out and towards the border of my pack.

It took us only 5 minutes to get to the border. I dropped Thomas off and ren and i continued to the border when we pulled up there was a man pacing back and forth just beyond my border line.

‘Something feels very off here jack’ onyx says. I can feel how uneasy he is feeling at the sight of this man. He's tall with dark brown hair and dark eyes. He's about 6’1 and he's wearing all black clothing.

“Are you ready to see what he wants?” I asked ren.

“I'm not sure something feels very off jack” she says, never looking away from the man.

“Onyx said the same thing and I agree something isn't right. I want you to stay behind me”

She nods and gets out her eyes never leaving the man. I grab her hand and walk to meet this mystery person.

“I was told that you wanted to speak to me” I say stopping a good 10 feet away from him.

“Yes I did” he says looking at ren. I pull Ren more behind me not liking the way he is looking at her.

“I am soon to be alpha jack what can i do for you” i say feeling even more uneasy.

“I wanted to join your pack if that is possible” he says now looking at me.

“Why do you want to join what happened to your pack”

“Rogues took out my pack a lot of my pack members survived but i have no idea where they went we split up in order to even get away we all said that we'd come here but i haven't smelled them so i don’t think they have made it this way” he says, but something tells me he is not telling the truth i look at ren. And I can tell she feels the same way.

“Well the choice is not up to me yet…as i am not alpha of this pack yet my father has not handed over the title if you would like to speak to him my men and escort you to the main pack house” i say and ren squeezes my hand. I know she doesn't like this idea.

“ i wouldnt have a problem with that at all…but why can I not just ride back to the pack house with you?” he asks

“My mate and I have some stuff to talk about in private” I say, pushing Ren back to the car. She turns and gets in. Thomas comes out of the trees with 10 of my top warriors.

“My beta and these warriors will escort you there we will see you there” I say getting into the car and watch as Thomas leads him down the side of the road to the pack house.

“Jack, I don't like this at all. I don't think we should have let him on pack lands” Ren says nervously.

“I know i agree but we don't have anything else but a feeling i'm going to talk to my dad before he gets to the pack house”

“But there is one thing we should probably talk about,” I say , taking a deep breath.

Ren looks at me with a question in her eyes.

“I think it's time that we talk about me marking you '' I say with a sigh.

“Jack, I've been wanting you to mark me for a while but you've been so busy with everything going on that you haven't noticed,” she says with a laugh.
