Chapter 13

P.O.V. Ren

It really bothered me that the she-wolf had it in her head that she would be Jack's mate. I haven't talked to him since the whole thing happened. I didn’t know how to bring it up without being a b***h about it, I had a feeling that the reason she was convinced she’d be his mate was because he was messing around with her. The thought of him touching another she-wolf really pissed phoenix and I off. Jack pretty much avoided me after that. I think he knew I was pissed.

P.O.V. Jack

I know Ren is mad at me because of the she-wolf and what she did, so I avoided her. I know not getting on her about hitting on me was going to bite me in the ass one day.

“What are you doing?” Thomas says walking up to me.

“Ummmm….avoiding Ren cause I know she’s pissed” I say sighing.

“Dude why in the hell did who not tell her along time ago to back off…she has thought for so damn long that she was top b***h and acted like it….after you found out ren was your mate i found out that she was going around the pack telling people that you were her mate and she was their luna” thomas says irritated at me for not handling this issue along time ago.

“She kissed me before we got to the clearing where ren shifted…i put jaden in her place then told her ren was my mate and she needed to back off…i thought it was handled man i thought she got the hint when i told her ren was my mate and her luna”

Suddenly a viscous growl echoes through the pack house coming from outside Thomas and I both look at each other and run out of my office and out the front doors.

We see Ren in her wolf as well as Jaden facing off. Ren has a large gash down her side, i didnt feel anything happen then i realize that it's her old wound.

Running up to Beth, I ask “what happened?” i demand.

“We were just walking and talking and out of nowhere this she wolf attacks ren she took her down to the ground….you need to put this she wolf in her place now or ren is going to put her down phoenix has had enough” beth says demanding, running down the steps of the pack house right as jaden throws herself at ren i grab her by the jaw mid air and throw her to the ground hard

“Shift now jaden!'' I say in a commanding voice soon the whole pack is surrounding us. Jaden shifts but doesn't get up.

“I warned you jaden…(turning to face my pack as two warriors grab jaden) attacking my mate is an attack on me…”

“Attacking fellow pack members has never been allowed in my pack” my father says with anger in his voice, i have never seen him mad before.

“Jaden what is the meaning of this” he demands coming down the steps and stopping in front of her.

“That mutt is not his mate, I am” she demands.

“That mutt is your luna and she will be given the respect she deserves…i knew she was his mate before he even did….take her to the dungeon….you will stay there until you understand that my son, your soon to be alpha is not your mate and you will never be the luna of this pack” my mom comes up behind him and sets her hand on his shoulder instantly calming him down.

“No pack member of mine will ever attack another member of this pack….this amazing she wolf (he says gesturing to ren and phoenix) is your next luna and she will be respected as such do i make myself clear” he says in his alpha voice and everyone in unison nods their heads in agreement.

“Ren will you please shift back” my father says in a gentile voice. Ren shifts and I pull my shirt off and hand it to her so she can put it on.

“Our pack does not usually act this way i am so sorry”

“Its alright i can handle my own, she needed to be put in her place any way”

“Jack take her to the pack doctor to get her side looked at” my mother says, pulling my father back towards the main pack house.

P.O.V. ren

She honestly thought that she could take me out, while Beth and I were walking I heard a few people say that she was going to attack me so I wasn't completely taken by surprise when she tackled me to the ground.

I need to talk to Jack about that girl to find out why she was convinced that he was hers.

‘Now is a good time’ phoenix says, still pissed off and pacing around in my head.

I sigh and look up at Jack “why did she think you would be your mate and the pack’s luna?” I'm not sure if I will like the answer. My biggest fear is him telling me that they had something between him.

“She had it in her head that we would be mates and she would be made luna of my pack a long time ago….and before you as no there was never anything between us. I allowed her to flirt with me before i found you i just let it slid and now i know i was wrong to allow it to go on….im sorry ren i hope you can forgive me”

I sigh with relief “i forgive you….i honestly thought you were going to tell me that she was your ex”

“Oh no i would never touch another that was not my mate” he says laughing. We walk up the stairs to the pack doctor. She comes out already knowing what is wrong. She has me lay on my side so she can take a look at it.

“So it looks like the wound just opened back up. I'm going to recover it and you will need to change it once a day until it closes,” she says, grabbing bandages from one of the cabinets.

“So there isn't any other wounds i could've sworn she get my thigh” i say confused

“Oh child she did get your thigh but not bad enough for it to matter you and your wolf are fast” she says with a laugh.

Maybe now life will start to go back to normal and life can start to settle down.

But something in my heart and soul felt off. I couldn't place it but I knew something was coming and I knew it would be a whole fight for our lives.
