Chapter 20

P.O.V. ren

When Jeremy told us what was going on all of us were shocked.

His scouts and even some other packs had told him that there had been a lot of traffic in and out of the rising moon since I shifted wolves that had been on a watch list and rogues alike. Beth and I always had a feeling that alpha levi had something to do with our parents death but we never thought that he'd be willing to go to war over jack not handing me over like he wanted.

“Can we handle a fight like this?” I ask , shaking myself out of my head.

“If we can get our allies here in time yes we can but with the amount of reports ive gotten from allies and my scouts we can't if we are on our own. We have already gotten ahold of alot of our friends and allies nearby and even far away.im just hoping and praying to the goddess that they all get here in time '' Jeremy sighs. And we all sit down.

This is alot to take in.

“What does he want?” Jeremy asks.

We all sat there for a moment.

“Me” I say standing up.

“When i was able to get free from my kidnappers i thought it was odd that i was coming from that direction but i didn't think much about it at the time because i didn't believe that alpha levi would be behind something like this, but after what happened at the border and him lying about being my mate it made more sense.'' Jack stands up and puts his arm around me.

“With what happened when Ren shifted I believe that we have a mole…”

“Or at least had one” I say , interrupting jack.

“What do you mean?” kevin asks

“Well nothing has really happened since jaden took off…i have a feeling that she was the reason that i got taken in the first place…shes been trying to get me out of the picture for a long time” i say looking at all of them.

“So what are we doing about this tobias person…with the upcoming war we cant afford for someone inside our borders to help him” kevin says. He has become one of Jack's personal guard. I have a feeling he's going to make him his gamma soon.

“For now we are not going to do anything but keep him at arm's length every pack and ally i have contacted has been instructed to enter our pack on the furthest border from levis so they aren't detected and to stay out of site of the main pack house.”jeremy says sighing.

“Would you guys mind leaving? I need to speak to my father alone.” Jack says with concern in his voice. And we all turned to leave the room, I stopped at the door and looked back at jack. I sighed and closed the door behind me, by the time I had walked away from the door everyone else was already outside standing by the car.

“Hi, i haven't seen you around since i got here…i thought you stayed here” tobias said walking down the stairs. I noticed him looking me up and down.

“O um…no we don't stay here we have our own house a few miles from here” i say reaching for the door.

“Can we talk for a minute, maybe go for a walk or something?” he says, but something deep down tells me to say no.

“Umm the rest of them are waiting for me outside” I say , turning the door knob.

“We can just talk in the kitchen…it won't take very long, '' he says, walking a little ways towards the kitchen. I sigh and look out the window by the door and mind like kevin

‘Don't react in any way….tobias just asked me to go talk with him in the kitchen…i want you to walk to the back of the house and watch from the windows don't tell anyone this’ i cut the link and turn back with a fake smile as i see kevin walk past the living room window.

“So how long have you been a part of this pack?” he asks as I walk up next to him.

“About a month and a half I joined on my 16th birthday” I say as we enter the kitchen, I sit down at one of the stools at the bar.

“Why did you leave your old pack? I've heard so many good stories about alpha levi” he says sitting next to me. At that moment I open the link between Kevin and I so he can hear everything.

“I found my mate…and don't believe everything you hear about that pack, most of it isn't true. '' I sigh, starting to feel uncomfortable.

“O really…i heard that alpha levi was your mate and that soon to be alpha jack stole you from him”

I growl “that piece of s**t tried his best to steal something that didn't belong to him…jack is my one true mate….that piece of s**t rejected his one true mate….his mate was my sister” i say getting angry. I noticed that he flinched away from me.

He puts his hands up,”sorry i didn't mean to make you angry i was just asking if it was true”

He looked around the room.

“Would you mind going on a walk with me? I've been cooped up in this house for far too long” he says standing up and going to stand by the back door. I link Kevin to move around to the side of the house out of sight’ i leave the connection open and stand up and follow him out the door.

“Sure why not I need to get out some of this anger anyway” I say , stepping out first and seeing Kevin around the corner of the house.

Tobias steps out behind me and looks around. Seeing no one around he sighs and walks up beside me. And starts walking towards the tree line. I walk slightly behind him not trusting what he has on his mind.

“So are your parents still part of the levis pack” he says, stopping right along the tree line.

“No they died when I was 8” I say , running my hand along one of the trees.

“Oh i'm sorry” he says

‘He's not sorry I know what was so familare about him…you have to get away from him now’ phoenix says.

“Please don't pretend you didn't know my parents weren’t still alive or act as if you weren't a part of me being kidnaped by Levi '' I say a growl in the back of my throat.

“Your smarter than i thought ren…but that won't help you now” he says pouncing at me but kevin and his dark gray wolf taking tobias out of the air and pinning him to the ground and i walk up next to him i see kevin’s paws on his arms so he can't move his hands and his back paws on each of his thighs so he can't squirm. And his mouth wrapped around his neck.

“Tobias i have been kidnapped, drugged, whipped, r***d on repeat…did you really expect me to walk all the way out here by my self with no help” i say looking down and a fuming tobias.

“Actually I did…I thought you would still be very trusting. I didn't expect this,” he says breathlessly.

I mind link the rest telling them where we were.

“All of us knew your story was bullshit so we moved away from the main pack house…we were waiting for you to f**k up” i smile as everyone comes running.

“Ren are you alright?”Jack says, running up to me and looking at every inch of me.

“I'm fine but I don't think he will be” I say looking down at tobias. It's then that Jack looks down and gasps .

“Why did you tell Kevin instead of me?” he says. Hurt clear on his face.

“Because i knew no one would listen to me beside kevin….all of you would have gotten in the middle before you made his move…i knew kevin wouldn't go against what i said '' i sigh. As more warriors come rushing around the house.

I look down and tobias “i am the luna of the midnight moon pack” i say as the warriors surround us and grab his arms and tie him up. I hold my head high as a luna should and look him in the eyes.

“You guys tried to break me but i am the phoenix wolf you can not harm me no matter how hard you try” i say and kevin shifts back and pulls me back a little bit.

“This is not the end of this, I will have you!” Tobias screams and they drag him away. As soon as he's out of sight I drop to the ground. And every one of my family surrounds me. Jack lifts my face so I'm looking at him.

“Something is wrong jack i am very diz…” my words are cut short as the world around me starts to sway and everything goes black.
