Chapter 6

P.O.V. jaden

That slut she is trying to get with my man how dare she do this he is mine. The alpha promised him to me when i sided with him over my family. I start to run after jack and grab his arm.

“Jaden, what the hell are you still doing here and let go i have to go meet up with the rest of them” he says trying to remove my hand from his arm.

“Why do you even care its not like any of them are you mate” i say flirting and put my free hand on his chest.

All of a sudden Ren burst through the trees furry written all over her face.

The look of shock all over jacks face.

“Ren i swear its not what it looks like”

“I know whats going on here” she says looking at him for a second until her eyes land on my hand thats on his chest. She starts walking towards us. I move behind jack.

“Jack please protect me from her shes crazy” i say scared

“Protect you, why would i? Your the one coming onto someone else mate, before she gets over here i suggest you get out of here now” he commanded me. I turn and run when i got to the side of the how i look behind me and seen jacks arms around Ren trying to calm her down and then he kisses her and she stops trying to get out of his grip. I sink down to the ground my heart braking.

P.O.V. Ren

I sink against his chest as his lips crash against mine. My mind goes blank besides the dirty thoughts coming from pheonix. He pulls back and looks at me both of us breathless.

“Ren i swear to you i am only yours, im sorry i should have put her in her place along time ago.” he says wraping his arms more around me.

“I dont want to talk about it right now lets just go okay” she says pushing me off of her, turning on her heels and walking into the trees, this time im right behind her so that jaden cant try anything again.

We get to the clearing where everyone is standing in a half moon next to the waterfall and pond. Katie runs up to me and hugs me.

“Are you okay i felt you get very angry….did jack do something to piss you off?” she asks looking at my face and moving my hair behind my ears.

“No he didnt piss me off it was that skank jaden” i say as i pull my hair band off my wrist and start to put my hair up in long braid.

“What did she do now?”

“She had her hands on jack, she was trying to get him to leave with her”

“Okay….? Why would that be such a bad thing?” she asks.

‘She doesnt know ‘ i think to my self.

“Jack is my mate, jaden has been flirting and touching him all night and it just finally got the best of me” i say taking a deep breath trying to calm down as i finish braiding my hair.

“Girls you can finish talking later we need to get this started” jacks dad says and he taks off his clothes and sets them on a rock next to the water and walks into the pond.

“Where do you want me?” i ask his dad as i start to walk over to the group.

“You need to take your clothes off and join me in the pond for a second” he says and i walk up to him.

I sigh and walk over to the edge of the pond and start to pull my out fit off starting with my boots and socks. I take my panties and my bra off last and slowly step into the water with help from jerimy jacks dad.

“The water is so cold” i say shivering.

“I know but this will only take a second”

“Why do i have to get into the water any way”

“So we do it this way so that it relaxes your body and also so that you can use the cold water as a distraction during the shift. You will start to shift in the water and when it gets closer to your wolf fully coming out someone probably jack will come grab you out of the water and put you on dry land to finish the change”

“Jack why dont you strip down and come into the water with us...i have a feeling her change is going to be alot different” jerimy says

Jack walks up to the edge and starts to take his clothes off. I look way not wanting to see him naked yet.

P.O.V. jack

I can tell that she is still pissed off but not as much as we would of been if i hadnt kissed her to try and get her to calm down. I walk it to the water and look up at the sky.

‘The moon is almost at the apex are you ready for this?” onyx says

‘Yes im ready its just like every other change’

‘So you think this is the other reason ive been excited about all night’ onyx says confusing me.

“This is going to be interesting” i hear someone behind us say but cant place who said it.

“How long do we have to wait?” ren asks

“Only a few more seconds” my dad says looking at me with a curious look.

All of a sudden ren almost falls under the water my my father grabs her biceps and pulls her back up. She screams in pain.

‘Soothe her talk to her even touch her get her to calm down a little shes starting to fight the change’ my dad mindlinks me.

“Hey baby, you need to just let the change happen the harder you fight this the harder it will be.” i say putting my hand on her cheek and she stops fighting but continues to scream. But all of a sudden she throws her head back and lets out the highest pitched scream i have ever heard come out of someones mouth.

“What is her wolfs name” i hear my mother shout over ren.

“Her name is pheonix why would her name have anything to do with this?” beth yells back

“Get her out of the water now and start a fire” she commands. I take ren from my father and start to walk out of the water rens skin feels like ice.

They start the fire and my mother pushes me right next to the fire.

“Now son you need to keep her next to that flame or she wont be able to change and she will die” i turn and look at her concerned.

“Dont worry she will be fine” she says. I look down at ren and she scream starts to fade and all that comes from her is small crys.

“Im not going to leave your side ren” i say stroking her face and moving stray hairs out of her face.

“Please…...make…..it…..stop” she says between sobs.

‘Why didnt you ask for her wolfs name’ onyx says concerned.

‘ i didnt think it mattered’ i say internally slapping my self

‘Theres a legend of a wolf….i dont remember it word for word but….this will will only be able to be reborn in or by fire. And all the was on this paper was a picture of a pheonix’

Ren start to thrash in my arms and pushes me off knocking me back and she falls half way into the fire. I start to get up but notice that she isnt burning. She starts to glow where the flames lick her skin. She turns her head and her eyes turn and bright red and orange. The next thing i know an ash black wolf is staring at me .

“Omg you are beautifu”l i say getting on my hands and knee and going closer to her.

I shift into my white and black wolf and move closer and howl
