8. Prized possessions

After dinner we had our little chit chat cherry told me a lot about how the new intern in the company is. It is the same company which kicked me out.

We watch some Netflix and I go tuck honey in and kiss him goodnight.

We spent the night binge watching teen wolf again.

Liya's pov

Liya left for her office as usual.bit she gets a call. She was busy but picks up.

"Are you liya?? "Someone asked on the call

"Yes who is this speaking " Liya says

"Oh great , well there is a kid who got into an accident and I have taken him to hospital his name is Harry Lorenz and I found your number in his books, he has got into a major accident and is in city hospital , please come fast"the unknown lady spoke very fast

"What?? Wait I'll be there , thanks a lot for taking him"

Liya immediately grabbed her bag and rushed out of the office.

On her way out, she dashes into someone but she couldn't care less , she immediately moved aside and rushed out .

She caught a taxi and reached the hospital.

she goes to the reception

"excuse me where is harry Lorenz?"

"may i know  how are you related to him" she asks politely

"i am his sister "

"2nd floor room 308" she said

"thank you" i said and rushed their . I saw harry admitted there and a doctor came by and asked me.

"are you that child's guardian?" the doctor asked me

"yes , i am , how is he doctor ? is he fine ?" i ask him.

"he is severely injured his head and needs to undergo a surgery under 24 hrs or else there is almost no chances of him surviving"

"doctor please start the surgery, i will arrange for the money"

"ok" the doctor said and went.

I went back to the reception and asked her about the cost of the surgery

"You have to pay 150000 dollars for the surgery with  that you have to pay a deposit of 30000 dollars for starting the procedure." she said

150000???? from where am I I supposed to get that kind of money. i have around forty thousand dollars which I saved for honey's boarding school.

i immediately pay the deposit .

"ma'am please pay the rest of the amount before the surgery, we have started the procedure , please pay the rest of the amount by tomorrow" the receptionist said

from where will i get that kind of money. ??  I think i know what i have to do. i rush back to my house and search for it. s**t. its in office. I drive to office as soon as possible.

Its around 10:30 when I reached office.

Everyone left and it was almost dark and I am thankful it's still open . I rushed to my drawer and I found it. My most prized possession.

The only things I have if my parents.

It's a small box with 3 things in it.

1. Her mom's ring

2. Her mom's diamond studded pendant

3. Her dad's Rolex.

I took it and I started rushing out. And in the way I dash into someone again.  And everything fell down.

I picked everything up and immediately left.

I went to the place from where those things were bought.

I sold my mom's jewellery and got the cash. I sold the last remains of my parents. I still had my dad's watch which luckily I didn't need to sell.

I then drove to hospital. Thanks to cherry I have a car , she went out of the city so she allowed me to use it .

I paid the full amount and the surgery started.

I just hope this surgery goes well.

After around half an hour the doctor comes out.

" Ma'am I am sorry the patient is very critical we need to perform 1 more surgery " the doctor said and that broke me.

"Doctor please do anything and save my brother , please " I tell him and the doctor nods

"Ma'am please stop crying and we will have To start the 2nd surgery as soon as possible so..." I  understood what the doctor meant.

I nurse came and handed me a paper. I signed it. I have to now pay more hundred thousand dollars.

I tried calling cherry but I knew cherry couldn't help. I went to the only option I had.

I called my uncle.

" He-hello" I say

"Who is this?" My uncle says

" Uncle it's me li-liya"

"You b***h , where the f**k are you ? How dare you run away? I will f*****g kill you and your brother the moment I see you. Just let me find you , you and you-" I cut the call as I knew he wouldn't help me . He will instead kill us.

I had no hope left. Why Is this happening to me? What did I ever do? What did my brother do? I started crying about my fate . About my life , when I thought I had finally everything in control this had to happen.

I see a pair of shoes in front of me .

"I will pay for the surgery , if you agree to what I say "

I heard a voice . I looked up to see none other than Sebastian Philip.
