Chapter 3: Palm Beach

2650 Words
The rest of the week passed quickly, and it was now Friday. Lili was very excited about some news she had received at school. When she arrived home, she noticed that Diogo's car was also parked there. It meant that he was already at home. For Lili, it was the perfect opportunity to put her ideas into action. She walked towards the entrance of the house and found him in the living room, sitting on the sofa. She ran towards him and threw herself into his lap, giving him a big hug. "Hey, Lili. What's going on?" Diogo asked, not fully understanding the excessive affection. "I was told today that I'm going to be the class speaker at graduation," she said excitedly as she continued to move on his lap. "Honey, I'm so happy for you..." "I'm so happy, Diogo. I need to start preparing my speech and I have to start looking for my dress. I want to look amazing on that day," Lili replied, brimming with enthusiasm. "Lili," Diogo interjected. "Don't you think you're getting too big to sit on my lap?" he said somewhat awkwardly, feeling her movements. "Not at all." She hugged him once more and then said, "I'm going to my room. I need to start working on my speech." Lili got up, picked up her backpack that she had left on the floor, and left. Diogo shook his head and chuckled. He didn't perceive any malicious intent behind her actions. Once inside her room, Lili threw herself onto the bed and took a deep breath. In such a short time, she had become completely infatuated, but she wanted so much more. The following week, Diogo went to her school and spoke to the principal, informing them that they were planning to go on a trip. They couldn't justify her absences with just a trip, so he felt it was essential to let the principal know that she would be away from school for four days. In the afternoon, Lili finished packing her bags. She couldn't wait for the trip and the opportunity to share a room with him.  The next morning, they headed to the airport. However, upon arrival, they were informed that their flight would be delayed. Since they were already there, they decided to wait. "Let's have lunch and wait. It looks like it's going to be a long wait," Diogo suggested. "A little bit. We won't get there in time to enjoy the beach today," she replied, making him laugh. "We will still have plenty of days there, Lili..." They arrived at the beach in the early evening. Lili was tired, so as soon as they entered the hotel room, she left her suitcase in a corner and lay down on one of the beds. "Aren't you going to take a shower?" Diogo asked her. "No, I'm exhausted," she replied. "Then I'll go..." Diogo opened his suitcase, grabbed a pair of sweatpants and a shirt, and went to the bathroom. After about thirty minutes, he came out and saw her sleeping. He noticed that her dress had risen up slightly, leaving her lower back exposed. So he walked towards her and placed the blanket over her body, but she quickly pulled it away. "It's hot," she said. Diogo chuckled and adjusted the dress to cover her properly. "Please turn on the air conditioning, Diogo," she requested. "Okay, Princess." As Lili mentioned, Diogo adjusted the air conditioning to a comfortable temperature. Then he turned off the lights and settled down on the other bed. The following morning, Lili woke up earlier than Diogo. She noticed that he was still asleep, so she went to the bathroom. She brushed her teeth first, and as she moved towards the shower, she noticed a small insect on the bathroom wall. Curiously, she examined it closely and realized it was a beetle. And there she saw an opportunity to show off a little for him. So she took off her clothes, turned on the shower, and drenched herself.  Then, with a burst of courage, she put her plan into action. Lili let out a loud and desperate scream, then quickly ran out of the bathroom and bumped into him. "What happened, Lili? I woke up to your scream," Diogo asked in surprise. She held on to him, and he didn't even seem to notice that she was naked. "There's a huge cockroach in the bathroom. It flew at me," she replied, pretending to be scared of the insect. "Where is it?" he asked, stepping away from her body, and then realized that she was completely naked. "Oh God! Cover yourself." "I ran out. The towel is in the bathroom, and I won't go in there until that cockroach is dead," Lili explained. Diogo looked away from her body and went into the bathroom. After killing the insect, he came back somewhat embarrassed with a towel for her to cover herself. "Here, I have already killed it. It wasn't a cockroach, it was a beetle," he said, walking towards the bed, avoiding direct eye contact. "Okay, are you sure there aren't any other insects inside?" "Yes, I checked the bathroom and there are no other insects in there," Diogo replied, still avoiding direct eye contact with Lili. "Thanks." Lili went into the bathroom again, and after just over thirty minutes, she emerged. Meanwhile, Diogo quickly entered the bathroom, clearly feeling embarrassed about what had transpired. This excited Lili even more, as it indicated that he had clearly seen what she was hiding under her clothes. The sound of the shower running could be heard constantly, indicating that it had been running for quite some time. Lili couldn't help but imagine him emerging from the bathroom wearing only a towel. But no because a few moments later, he came out wearing pants. To her delight, though, he was shirtless. Despite being in his forties, Diogo had a youthful appearance, with a toned body, strong arms, and a well-defined stomach from his hours spent at the gym. "Diogo, should we have breakfast here or go to the buffet?" Lili asked. "I prefer to go to the buffet. I want to explore the hotel a bit more," he replied. He chose one of the shirts from the suitcase, putting it on while noticing Lili combing her hair. "Your hair is beautiful," he complimented. Lili had dark black hair with a lovely shine that perfectly complemented her fair skin and blue eyes. "Thank you. I love my hair and I take good care of it," Lili replied, smiling at Diogo. "You see, it always looks impeccable." Diogo reached for his perfume from the suitcase and applied a bit, allowing the scent to fill the room.  It was then Lili's turn to compliment him. "I like your perfume. It smells really nice." "I like it too. I've been using it for a long time. Are you ready?" Diogo asked. "Hmm, yeah," Lili replied. "Let's go, then." The buffet was located on the first floor. As they entered, they were pleasantly surprised by the variety of food. Everything was vibrant, and the aroma filled the room. "I think I'll go home a few pounds heavier," Lili whispered to Diogo. "It's okay. You will still look beautiful," he assured her. They served themselves and found a table to sit at. Noticing that there were only a few people present, they realized it was already past nine, and breakfast would end at ten. After enjoying their breakfast, they returned to their room to change into their beach attire. The beach was just a few meters away from the hotel. Lili took two of the bikinis she had purchased from her suitcase and showed them to Diogo, asking for his opinion. "The black one or the blue one?" she asked. "Lili, I don't really understand anything about fashion," he admitted. "You don't have to understand. You know what, I'll try them both on, and you can tell me which one looks better." "Okay, let's do that." Lili went into the bathroom, tried on the blue bikini, and returned to the bedroom. "What do you think?" she asked. The bikini was small, with minimal coverage, with the strings perfectly accentuating her curves. The top portion held her breasts well, creating an alluring glimpse between them. Diogo glanced at her, briefly avoiding eye contact, but he looked at her again. "It's very beautiful," he said. "I'll try on the other one." Lili went back into the bathroom and after a few moments, she emerged wearing the black bikini. "So, what do you think?" "It's also beautiful..." Diogo replied. "Okay, but which one do you think is better?" she pressed, twirling around. "It's so... so small," he awkwardly responded. "It's not, you know. I think this one is better. I'll go with this one." "You don't intend to go like that, do you? I mean, with nothing on top," Diogo asked. "No, you fool. I'm going to put a dress over it. Can you imagine walking around the hotel and through the streets like that? No way! When I get to the beach, I'll take it off, and you can help me apply sunscreen. I don't want to get sunburned." Lili took the sunscreen from her suitcase, applied some to her hands, and then handed the bottle to Diogo. She couldn't help but feel a slight tickle as she felt his touch on her skin. "Oh wait!" Lili untied her bikini top, and Diogo's eyes widened in surprise. "What are you doing?" Diogo exclaimed. "I'm taking off the straps of my bikini. If I don't go without them, I'll end up getting sunburned there," Lili explained. Diogo nodded, still somewhat taken aback, and applied sunscreen again. As he finished, he kept his gaze fixed on the wall. Meanwhile, Lili still had her bikini straps loose. "Take off your clothes," she told Diogo. "Why?" Diogo questioned. "Are you planning to wear those clothes to the beach?" Lili replied. "No." "Then take them off. I need to apply sunscreen on you. The sun is really intense, I noticed earlier." Diogo nodded and said, "I'll put on my swim trunks." He headed towards the bathroom, and Lili bit her lower lip, already imagining the enticing sight she would have. Minutes later, he returned. Lili had put on a dress over her bikini, not wanting to make it seem like she was forcing these situations. "Diogo, the gym is doing wonders for you," she complimented, clapping her hands, and he laughed, feeling his ego being boosted. "Thanks!" "Come here," Lili beckoned. Diogo approached her. He stood with his back towards her, and without hesitation, she began to apply sunscreen on him. Inside, she couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement as she touched him. God, he's so attractive, she thought. "Your hands are very delicate," Diogo commented. "You can give me a massage anytime." "Of course, whenever you want, just ask—now, turn around," Lili replied, her voice slightly tense. He stood in front of her, and without hesitation, she began to apply sunscreen on his chest and then his belly. Unfortunately, she couldn't linger and touch him for too long, only doing what was necessary. When she finished that part, she moved into his arms. "Now it's up to you to apply the rest, but we're not done yet. You need to apply sunscreen to your face too. You don't want to ruin that youthful face," she said, handing him the bottle and then going over to her suitcase. "Youthful?" Diogo asked, sounding puzzled. "Yes, Diogo. I wouldn't have guessed you were over thirty years old," Lili replied. "Well, that's good," he said, spreading the sunscreen onto his legs. From a small bag, Lili took out a specific sunscreen for the face and turned to him. "No, that's not the one you use on your face," she said when she saw that Diogo was using the sunscreen she had given him. "But why?" "There's a specific one for that," she said, showing him the correct bottle in her hand. Then, she approached him, leaving their bodies just centimeters apart, and reached her hands towards his face. Instinctively, Diogo placed his hands on her waist, and for a brief moment, Lili felt the ground disappear beneath her. But she composed herself, not wanting to reveal her nervousness. "I've always applied the same sunscreen all over my body," Diogo mentioned. "Well, you still have perfect skin without any acne or wrinkles. Men are lucky, you can shower with harsh detergent from head to toe and still look divine," she teased, causing him to laugh. "We don't have to deal with hormonal fluctuations, so it's easier for us," he said, making her laugh.  "I'm done applying it. Now, put on some clothes and let's go," Lili said to Diogo shortly after. Upon arriving at the beach, Diogo spread out a towel and sat down, while Lili quickly lay down and rested her head on his lap. "The sun feels wonderful. Thank you! The trip has only just started, and it's already been incredible," Lili expressed her gratitude. "Tomorrow is the big day. You'll finally turn eighteen, young lady. What would you like to do tomorrow?" he asked. "Well, take me to one of those beautiful restaurants that you see in romantic dinners on soap operas," she replied. "But we won't be having a romantic dinner," Diogo replied. "Of course not, silly. But I love places with a delicate aesthetic. It makes me dream about when I'll find love," Lili said. "You'll soon find a good guy. It's surprising that, at your age, you haven't introduced me to a boyfriend yet. I even thought things were getting more serious with that schoolmate of yours," Diogo mentioned, referring to Lili's past crush, Mike. "Well, Mike is a nice guy, but I don't have strong enough feelings to enter a relationship with him." "You're a beautiful girl, Lili. There must be plenty of guys out there who would love an opportunity with you." "Am I?" Lili turned around, lying down on her stomach and resting her chin on Diogo's thigh. Her face was just a few centimeters away from his groin. "Of course you are. You'll find a good guy," Diogo reassured her. But to his dismay, someone appeared to interrupt that moment. "What are you looking at, kid?" Diogo asked rudely to a boy who had been staring at Lili's body. "N-nothing, sir." The boy quickly walked away. Lili sat down and stared at Diogo. "Diogo, he's just a boy. He must be thirteen or fourteen years old. I would never be interested in someone so young," Lili assured him. "Even so, that doesn't give him the right to look at your body like that. He was practically drooling. He needs to learn some manners, and you..." "Me, what?" Lili raised an eyebrow, awaiting his response. "You were almost naked," Diogo pointed out. "I'm not. If you pay close attention, we're on a beach, and everyone here is dressed like that. Even you have parts of your body exposed." "But my swim trunks can be compared to two bikinis, both the top and bottom," Diogo countered. "And you're twice my size, so don't act like I'm posing naked while you're just wearing trunks," she retorted, crossing her arms. Diogo let out a sigh, surrendering to her point. "Okay, I may have exaggerated a bit, but I didn't like the disrespectful way that boy looked at you. Just because you're wearing a bikini doesn't mean he has the right to stare at your butt," Diogo expressed. He gently held her arms and uncrossed them, pulling her back to lie down on his lap in a more affectionate manner, trying to ease the tension. Diogo ran his fingers through her hair, watching as her facial expression changed.
