Aria's POV
I slowly opened my eyes and shut them almost immediately as I felt the bright fluorescent lights above me pierce through my brain like a thousand knives. I winced slightly and groggily lifted my right hand to shield my eyes.
Something pulled on my arm, and I forced my eyes open in confusion to see that some wires had been connected to my hand.
My eyes were still foggy but I could make out the sterile white walls and the beeping sound of the machine beside me. A faint scent of disinfectant lingered in the air and I scrunched my nose.
I was in the hospital, but how was I here?
