What the hell is this? Dad, someone sent me this while I was at school and I had to come and let you read it?
Dad but think about it? What if what this person is telling us is the truth? Then who is she?
If this is real, she fooled a lot of people?
She has a high ranking position, she is a respected judge?
How was she able to kill someone and take over their whole life without being found out?
Maggie, I have no idea this is all so surreal? This has got to be someone's sick idea of a joke or a sick person, even an angry criminal who has it out to destroy her because she convicted them? I mean you remember the part in the email? When they said she ruined their lives. Yeah, but what does that have to do with anything? Maggie, they are going to do any and everything to destroy her life? Could this email be just a way to destroy someone's reputation by making them look bad? Dad, you don't really believe that alone could destroy someone? Because I know that will never work, besides the way the email felt? It felt like the person writing it knew her before now? To me it felt like the person was trying to give us clues. Maggie, what are you talking about? What clues did you get out of that? All I heard was a lot of speculation and things being said without any proof of the fact of it being true or not. I don't really know what to make of it. To be honest, I got nothing out of it? Other than the fact that they confessed that they were going to destroy her life. And they made it very clear that they were also going to ruin her life. Dad, I don't think that's it? Maggie, how the hell do you know what it could be or couldn't be? You don't even know who sent the dame email? But like I said once, and I am saying for the last time, who ever this person is must be fooling with us? There is no other reason to do something like this? It has to be someone who is f*****g with us.
Dad, no one is f*****g, And. I doubt someone would go to all this trouble just to pull some kind of joke on us.
Dad, this is real, this is real? It's not a book or a movie, this is real life, and we need to figure this out before she figures us out.
What the hell is happening to us?
I need to talk to her? I have to find out what the hell is going on?
Dad you can't?
Don't you dare tell me what I can't do, young lady? I am the parent here, not you?
But did you hear anything that the email said about asking her about anything? Dad, she will kill you and me. Pleased you promised that you would not ask her.
Maggie, what am I supposed to do, Hun? You tell me what I can do? We live together for Christ's sake. How do you expect me to go home every day and deal with this woman who has clearly killed someone and stolen her identity?
Not to mention the fact that I married this person almost twenty years ago? Are you telling me my whole marriage and my life has all been created on lies?
Answer that for me Maggie. You want me to just believe some random email over twenty years of being with this woman? Maggie honey I don't think I can do it honey, I'm sorry.
Dad? Please? You can't do this? Dad, She will kill you? And, she will kill me too? Don't you understand the seriousness in this? You always told me caution over emotions? But when the ball is in your court, look how easy it is for you to fold?
What are you trying to do here, Maggie?
I want you to open your dame eyes for once?
I need you to be a father to me for once, and be there like you are supposed to be, especially when I need it the most?
But now I see? Maggie, what are you talking about? What is it that you see?
You care more about her than you do for me? Enough Maggie, But you want to know something, good old dad? I have known that for a long time, anyway.
That is not true and you know it? All I ever knew was, after mom died, you were never there for me, like you're still not here for me now? Maggie, grow up and stop with all this foolish talk you hear me. I love you, but, dame, this is serious. She has a right to know if someone is saying things like this about her? She is your mother? Don't you think she has a right to know before it destroys her career? Think Maggie, I have tried so hard for so many years to give you time to give Lisa a chance?
No dad, you don't have the right to try and flip this on me? God, you do this every time I say anything about your precious Lisa. This time, this is our life we're talking about? I don't know her and daddy, I doubt you even truly know her. Daddy, I love you and I always will, but there ain't no way in hell that I will let your love for a stranger get me killed. And when I leave this time you will never see me again.
Maggie, come on princess, please do not do this to me. You are my child? My little girl, you can't just walk away forever. Please, I could not bare the thought of never seeing you again? Let's just cool down and talk about this? What do you say? Let's start this all over? Forget we even read the email? We can just move forward without ever thinking about the email? What do you say?
I say you are one crazy ass old man to think that I will continue to live with what I know about your wife, and I'm out of here, and you will never see me again. You made your choice. Now you will have to live with the choice.
Maggie, Maggie, do not walk away from me. I am your father, young lady? Don't you hear me talking to you? You get back here Maggie, Maggie.
Leon falls to his knees in his office at his door as he watches his daughter board the elevator. She never even looks back at him. He watches and sobs as the doors of the elevator open. She boards it, then the door's closed and the elevator descends.
Hi Kirk, its been a long time? You're telling me for two years not so much as a phone call? I know and I'm sorry about that? Maggie, what are you doing here? I have no place to go and I need your help? That's funny. You need my help? Yes I do? Wait, let me get this straight, you get up and go to college. That's fine, but once you are there you just stop returning my calls. You don't write back to me? Am I spot on s**t Maggie, then you pop up without so much as a letter telling me about how you got nowhere to go, and now you need my help, and what do you think I am going to tell you, Maggie?
