There is a lady on the phone saying it's urgent she needs to speak to you. I believe she said her name was kitty? Should I tell her you have already left for the day? No, pam, that is quite alright. Do you want me to bring it to you or not? I'll take it to my office? You can patch her through. Right away, judge. Thank you pat. Hello kitty? And what do I owe this phone call too? Hello, judge Lisa Jordan? I thought you would like to know that I was visited by a detective asking questions about you? A man? Yes, a man stopped by my house asking a lot of odd questions, strange questions also? Questions about you, about your family? He even wanted to know about your hygienes and if I had ever seen hair growing on your face? I asked what did he mean by facial hair? He said a beard? A beard? You are sure that is what he asked? Yes I am? And I know that is what he said because I looked at him oddly, for asking such a strange question, you know? Yes, sadly, I do just know the feeling. What did you say to him? I asked him what was with all the weird questions and what kind of investigation requires such weird questioning? He told me the details were classified, so at that point, I informed him that if he could not tell me the reason for him coming to my home without being invited and out of the blue? But he could not tell me why he was asking me all these questions that he needed to go? Because I had nothing more to say to him and that was that. What time was it when he showed up at your house? Maybe two or three hours ago? So let me get this right. He came hours ago, and you are just now informing me of this, Kitty? Are you seriously going to tell me this after all these hours? Well, to be honest with you, I was in the middle of my house chorus and things like that I should have called right away, but I still had to run to the bakery for Tammycupcakes and Sammy's uniform was still at the cleaners. I wish I could have told you much sooner. I really do? What happened when you sent him away? He just smiled? So I told him he had to leave because I needed to get back to my gardening. Is everything OK with you and the family, Lisa? Oh yes, why would you ask? You know me, I was just checking to make sure everything was alright. To be honest, they were quite strange? The questions i mean? Who else was home when he stopped by? Besides me, no one everyone else had things to do today why do you ask would it matter whole was home when the detective came? Really, no matter i was only concerned for the safety of your family is all but there is no worries, then everything is good? Who have you called about this besides me, Kitty, and don't you dare lie to me? I had just come in from gardening to be direct and, come to think about it, I have not told anyone? Kitty, are you lying? OK, maybe I did mention something about it? To whom? Just a girlfriend? What might her name be again? You know you met her at my Christmas party last year? Can you remind me again what her name was? Lacy green Lisa got off the phone with Kitty, her neighbor who could never mind her own affairs. Lisa grabbed her things and headed out of her office. Pam, I'm leaving for the day. Don't direct any calls to my home unless it is my husband or one of my three children, you understand? Yes judge Lisa Jordan. I will see you tomorrow. And make sure my office is locked before you leave for the day and have those briefs on my desk when I come into the office in the morning. Yes judge Lisa, she walked to her Lincoln town car. Her driver opened the backdoor, she climbed into the back seat, and rested her head against the head rest. Her driver got in and started up. They drove home, Lisa hoping that her husband would not be home, yet she had some cleaning up she needed to do and fast. She walked into her house and was greeted at the front door as usual by the butler, Mark. Good evening Judge Lisa, please let me take your coat. Thank you, Mark, would you like a foot rub? No, I would like a bottle of white wine and some cheese squares? Right away, Judge. Mark came right out with a cold long stem glass of white wine and cheese squares on a crystal plate. Each square had a tooth picked through it just like Lisa preferred. It has been a long morning, but I'm finished with all my cases for today? Did my husband ever show up today? You know what? I have not seen him all day now that you mentioned it? That is very odd. Maybe I should give him a call at his office. He knows things like this make me a bit concerned? This is not like him at all? Let me check on him. She looks at her cell phone. 15 missed calls, 11 messages? Judge, are you OK? Yes I am fine? You know what, never mind. For now, I missed an important phone call. I'm going to go to my office to call it back. Are you sure, Judge? Yes I'm positive? Look, I need to get this? Mark, What I need you to do is go to the market and grab some fresh fruit and meat for dinner Tonite, but please take your time. I want to be alone for a couple of hours. You think you can stay out of sight that long? Of course, judges will be going now. Thank you, Mark. Mark grabbed the car keys and the credit card they kept in the drawer for the servants to have on hand for supplies. Lisa watched from her office window as Mark drove off down the street. The streetlights had been on for over forty-five minutes. She knows she doesn't have too much time. She rushes out into the shed, she gets to her hands and knees and digs into the soft dirt, she pulls up a long thin wire. Looking around, she spots the gloves she stashed under the bottom shelf and quickly puts them on. She takes the bottle of rubbing alcohol and dashes the wire, grabs a cloth from the third shelf and wipes the wire off. She puts the wire into her back pants and makes her way through the yard in the direction toward Kitty's yard. She stands for a few seconds peering over the gate, she pushes a section of the boards, and they separate, creating a swinging door that you can't even tell is there. You should have closed your mouth, Kitty? You are a gossip goose. I know you told the detective something. Just in case you did, I need to close this loose end, sorry Kitty, but you leave me no choice. She crept around looking through all the windows hoping she could do it and not be seen, just when she was going to give up for the day in walks Kitty on the phone? Not a cop, a police man, a sort of detective, I know that is just what I was thinking? Why do you think I should call him back and let him know about that? Thank you for reminding me I'll call you back when I speak with him. OK, then tomorrow talk to you, then bye. Why didn't I remember that? She calls the number the detective left with his card. Wow! Shoot no answer, I'll leave a voice mail. Hello Detective Parker, this is Ms. Kitty. You told me to call you if I could remember something and I have to please give me a call back to discuss what I remember, and I think you may find it so helpful in your investigation of Judge Lisa Jordan. She hung up the phone and walked from the room. The window was slightly cracked open, Lisa silently pushed the window open and climbed inside. When she was inside, she shut the window and pulled the shades down and hid behind the sofa and waited for kitty to return.
