Maggie wanted to do something nice for her younger siblings, so she surprised them by taking them out for a bite to eat.
They have not seen each other since they were each sent away by their parents to college.
Wanting to catch up with her, brother Philip, and younger sister Rose, though they don't share the same biological parents, they are brothers and sisters.
They felt it was nice only the three of them.
Besides, this is the first time they had seen one another in almost a year. They were each placed into different collages in separate
states.
Maggie had not told them what was going on with Lisa in order to try to protect them from any type of information that could potentially get either one of them killed.
Maggie, doing everything she could to not make it obvious that something was wrong she was hoping that they would not notice how awkward she was acting, but if it was anytime before now her cover would have been blown. Maggie is kind of sad seeing how they have all changed in so little time being separated over a year made Maggie see just how people can forget the little things.
Still Maggie hates the fact that she has to keep something like this from them. Wanting so hard to tell them, but for their safety, she knows it is better this way. The Jordan children have never kept things from one another. secrets between them were unheard of?
But Maggie felt this time it was different.
She loved them and she would do whatever it took to keep them safe even if it meant keeping a secret.
Standing in line they make small talk amongst each other.
An older gentleman stands just way ahead of them. When the line begins to move forward he takes a glance back and smiles at the Jordan children?
They smile back at him, and he speaks?
Hello!
Maggie speaks first? Hi, then Rose, Hey. And Philip speaks last? Hello.
The stranger starts talking to the Jordan Children?
What a beautiful day it is to go and enjoy the day. Do you agree?
Sure, I suppose.
So do you kids come here often?
Rosy hates being called a kid so she reacts to his comment! Mr? We are not kids, we are pre-adults? Don't call us children that sounds really stupid sir.
Sir I am so sorry really I am? He glares at Rosy and just stairs at her for a few long awkward moments.
The Waiter takes his order and he steps out of line to wait for it.
Maggie and her siblings make it to the counter they give their orders and also steps to the side to wait for their order.
Maggie notices the stranger taking glances in their direction, feeling obligated to account for her sister's behavior she approaches the stranger?
I apologize really I do!
I've never seen her act this
way before really this is not her I assure you.
Rosy and Philip come standing beside her and Rosy takes no time to defend herself.
Maggie you don't have to apologize to him he is the rude ass hole.
The stranger just stares at her?
Rose, what is the matter with you talking to him like that? Have you lost your mind?
Sir, I am truly sorry for the way my sister is acting. I assure you, she has never spoken to her elders that way before, I assure you. Rose just looked at the man and rolled her eyes. It was something about the way he spoke to them that just made Rose feel uneasy.
No need to apologize for someone else's behavior, she is a pre-adult. She can be held accountable for her own behavior. Besides, it has no effect on me. I am enjoying this beautiful day and no one, I mean no one, is going to ruin my day. He gazes at Rosy as he speaks. Besides she can say whatever she feels. Being my age you will come to see young people are the rudest they come.
He quickly changed the subject, how many times have you been to this place.
We used to come here a lot when growing up? What about you?
Me no I just moved here from the States?
OK, where is the state at? I don't understand?
He must mean pen state, right?
No, I meant the state prison?
wow?
Ew?
Yikes?
No worries I moved here for a fresh start, is that all?
Why did you go to prison?
Rosy, what the hell is wrong with you?
You don't ask people things like that. Are you crazy?
I'm just asking a logical question, Magg? Gosh, do you always have to blow everything out of proportion? Chill out before you bust a blood vessel or have a stroke because you're overreacting.
No, is it OK? I went to prison because I was framed for a crime? Well, not actually framed. It's complicated, actually. If you would like to hear, is it ok if I can sit at a table with you guys I hate being alone.
Sure, it's alright with me.
Me too.
Sure, I guess it couldn't hurt?
OK, I see a table with four chairs right at the back. Is that OK.
Yeah! You guys go take a seat, and I'll get the order and bring it.
Philip, Rosy and the stranger went and sat in the back and waited for Maggie to return with the order. When she came walking back holding two trays, one in each hand, two orders omn each tray.
Maggie and Rosy shared a tray and Philip and the stranger shared the other.
So we did not even introduce ourselves? Hi I am Maggie, this is my little sister Rosy, and that handsome guy there is my younger brother Philip, and we never caught your name?
Because I never gave it to you, kids?
Hold up?
Hold the F-U-C-K up?
Who do you think you're calling kids?
Philip looks from the left to the right? As if he was looking for someone?
Waiting to find out the man's name who was sitting with them, but all he did was dip a single fry into the ketchup and eat it. Then he took small bites of his cheeseburger and he would sip his soda from time to time, but he refused to tell them his name when he felt he had toyed with them, long enough he started talking still. Never give them his name?
What if I told you guys that I knew who you were? That is why I spoke to you in the first place? Such well-mannered young adults as you were raised? I must say I must say? Despite whom raised you three, never in all my days would I have ever thought you three would have turned out as normal as you are?
Who the hell are you, and gives you the right to think you can speak about us like that? besides, we don't even know who you are?
As a matter of fact, you have the wrong people anyway, so as the man of this, I have to ask you to leave. We have had enough of conversing with psychos, so you can get up and leave.
Not raising, not budging? The man continues to stay sitting this time dipping his fry into the ketchup with a smirk of humor, but not feeling threatened at all? He found Philip to be humorous, considering that he knew the young man was of the same s*x. Ignoring Philip.
He continued to stay seated, looking from Maggie to Rose, only cutting his eyes at Philip every so often when, finally, he heard in a not-so comical tone?
What do you want from us? Better yet, does it matter not? As I have already asked you once sir?'
You need to get up and leave now, since you can't tell us your name, and now you're just sitting here acting mad weird I think it would be best if you get up and leave from this table before things escalate beyond our control.
Ha ha ha?
You are joking, right, like I Don't know about you little sissy la la?
What did you just say to my brother? I know you did not just say what I think you said to him. Rosy slowly starts lifting from her seat cracking her knuckles as she rises.
Maggie grabbing her shoulders gesturing for Rosy to sit back down.
You heard me loud and clear, Maggie? Be realistic? The stranger speaks to Maggie?
We all know that Philip here is not into the other s*x, so please do not toy with me.
No, he is not don't be shallow Maggie it's the truth.
Look sir, even if he is who are you to speak on it? And who are you anyways we don't know you? see Maggie, you have everything wrong. I don't want anything from you guys. The intention was not my intention. You guys never came in to this until only four or five years after I had found out that she was still alive and seen that she had a daughter through marriage, and then she had adopted two more, Rose and Philip.
You see I had no choice. You are part of her family and that has made you a piece in my game? The way I see it, the more people the merrier it will be? The better the pleasure it will end for me.
Maggie? You know this man? Who is he, and what is he talking about? What game?
You listen here, mister, we don't know who the f**k you are or what the f**k, you're talking about, but I speak for all of us when I say get up and get the f**k away from us before I call the police on your crazy ass.
Yeah. I'm with my sister. Get the f**k up. Now we no longer want you here. You need to get your ass up now and act like your Michael Jackson and beat it.
I like that it was a good one.
Thanks, I did not see a chance to ever use it until now, and it actually sounded good.
I totally agree.
Guys, for real. You are doing that right now. Come on, this is serious.
Sorry?
Yeah! we're very sorry.
