But Regardless

**Ring** **Ring** **Ring** Hey Phil, I was just going to call you and check in on you and Rose's flight? How is everything going with the packing? Tell me you and Rose ordered your tickets in advance like I had reminded you too. Wait? Why are you calling me anyway? You or Rose better not say you're not coming or there will be trouble Philip? So tell me now, you're still coming, right? Rose also? Sis, like tune down, being such a drama queen, tune it down about two notches. Like what give's? You already know I would never miss a moment with my big sissies. So just C-h-i-l-l -o -u-t. OK. Philip? Yeah? Don't think you're going to be doing that all break ? Doing what S -I-S. That gay crap? Philip now does that while mom and dad are around, they will never suspect you to ever be gay? You really think that would give me away? No, I mean I know a lot of straight guys who spell out words in a cheerful voice all the time? Really see? Philip, no I do not? I was only being sarcastic? I do not know one straight guy who cheers his words, so yeah, that alone they will know for sure. Anyway, so Philip, how has gay life been treating my little bro? Magg? What sort of stupid question is that? Who in H-E-L-L asks stupid crap like that? Are you seriously asking me or are you messing with me again? Philip, what did I just warn you about spelling out your words? OK, keep that up. And to answer your question, I'm only messing around. You know I'm coming because I miss my family? And not at all because of your gay-bashing conversation? I do not gay bash. I think the saying gay splash sounds much funnier, and better. Aw! You big softy, I can't wait to see you, but we have an issue little bro? Mom and dad are OK, right? Yes they are. What about Rosy? She never called me back last night. I knew something was wrong? Philip breath? Rosy is good too, I think, come to think of it. She never even called me last night? Well, you did not call me last night either. What is up with that? Well, since I was coming home and mom and dad had no clue about me being gay and all I spent last night with Ryan. I wish I could bring him, but he understands that I have to break the news to Mom and dad first, see how they take it, then slide him through. You are something else. I still don't know why it has taken you so long to come out of the closet? They are going to find out one day, so stop being a coward and just tell them? Break it to them like this mommy daddy i hate women and I won't be pressured into being with no tuna. I prefer beef and if you two can't accept that well, then that is your loss. Shu up, you sound so stupid? Like you really should just come clean and tell them stop running from it. See, you know how stupid you sound, right? Because I am sure even you can tell it sounds pretty stupid, and you know it? As if that sounds nothing like me? What are you going to tell them when both of them want grandchildren? From you? What will you do, still lie and continue to act straight? Then what if one day they want to meet her? You can not keep this up because you are going to have to keep telling lies just to cover up the last lie. Just be honest, that way you are secure with yourself and, besides, if they do not agree, it's not up to them? This is your life, so you do what makes you feel good and ill support you either way. You know I'll always have your back lil bro. They might start to wonder and start to ask questions about things like that, but for now I guess it's OK, but you just need to tell them before someone else tells them, then your in for a blizzard. You know how I like blizzards? Shut up enough of that? Can we have a normal conversation please? What are you saying, Maggie? I am not normal because I'm in a gay relationship. Is that it? Philip, please, with the over-acting crap you know you freak me out with that killer vibe? Anyway, are you still meeting us on the plane so we can all ride back home, the three of us? Well about that, and don't get mad. Just listen, something came up right, and I won't be on the plane with you guys because I'm already here? Why are you there a week early when we already said that we were riding together. This is so like you? But no matter I have to get to class, I'll see you when we go bye. Before Maggie could get another word out she heard the dial tone, so she pulled the phone from her ear, holding it out in front of her face. She couldn't ride back with them, but protecting them from what was going on was more important to her than the fact that Philip was upset, and she would have that over placing him or Rosy's life in harms way. The fewer of them that had any idea as to what was going on, the better. That was the only way Maggie knew how to protect them, and she hoped that her not telling them about what was going on would protect them both from what was soon to come.
