Ten Days after the UP Battle
Zhang waited until Winston Ang had left his office before setting down the phone. He stood motionless, his face solemn. To anyone watching him it would have appeared as though he were in a trance or simply staring at the painted screen opposite where he stood. But Zhang was neither in a trance nor studying the screen. He was struggling in his mind to integrate what had just happened with the younger Ang brother while at the same time feeling sequences of stimuli from the Probe.
