One Mischievous Night

The minute Levi returned to their office, his heart was pounding because of feeling a very different excitement. He could never forget how Jaxon's eyes stick through his inside that makes a very strong current flow from within his veins. 

It was very pleasant to meet him and very awkward as well since Levi didn't imagine of how Jaxon would react. He never used to see Jaxon so eager of his attention, he would rather just ignore and sometimes glare at Levi that makes it all for him to understand an obvious rejection. 

Every time Levi would think about what happened in Jaxon's office, his mind would always distract him. It's Jaxon's eyes that he cannot escape, the way he looks at Levi have never changed, except for his flattery words. 

Although Levi didn't understand what Jaxon was talking about? He was very unsure if Jaxon's was very clear to his words after he left him hanging for five years now. Levi thought of why would Jaxon come in sweeping his feet towards him? Cause as far as Levi could remember Jaxon's refused to get a relationship with him even as friends. 

So why now? 

Then Levi came to think of an exceptional answer. 

He thought it's maybe because of what happened between the two of them that night in the hotel. Maybe that's why Jaxon kept coming and Levi turned slightly disappointed for that kind of reason. Instead of thinking about his boss' uncommon attitude, Levi sat on his desk quietly before handling in the papers he's got from Jaxon.

He reviewed first the paper that will be their first biggest project and then finally scheduled a meeting from the customer so they can start canvassing an appropriate measurement. 

"Hey Levi, what do you think of Mr. Jaxon doesn't he look amazing?" Zefany suddenly started asking him which it made him very uncomfortable to talk about. 

"Ugh why must he always catch everyone's attention?" Levi thought in his mind as he was unprepared for Zefany's question to answer. 

"I think he's just fine." He answered and formed his lips into a thin line. 

"Fine? What do you mean just fine? He's great!" Amanda butted in when she heard about what Zefany and Levi was talking about. 

"Oh please," Levi wanted to protest but was held back cause he knew everyone loved Jaxon's appeal and bossy attitude even though he could easily make that man turned his head around. 

He wouldn't tell that even though it was very impressive of him to have an absolute confidence that Jaxon would really turn his head around, it's a very cringe term to think about. He would unlikely just stay calm as possible whenever his friends would often ask about how Jaxon was a magnificent person. 

"Just leave them alone, Levi, both of them will take time to talk about Mr. Jaxon all day." Robin huffed unbelievingly, shaking his head to our two single co-workers.

He agreed as well and continued doing work when his phone rang.

Picking it up and seeing the caller's name, he smiled and answered it. 

"Hey Liliana, what's up?" He greeted his friend. 

"Hi Levi! Alexa and I would come pick you up later let's go eat dinner after!" Liliana happily cheered which Levi can't stop smiling cause his friend were unlikely very energetic today. 

"Did you guys got a promotion or something?" Levi asked curiously. 

"Nah we didn't anyway got to talk about it later we'll let you know when we're on our way." Liliana said.

"All right, I'll hang up now." Then Levi after put off the phone when he found two girls lurking at him.

His eyebrow raised innocently as he was confused seeing Zefany and Amanda look at him suspiciously?

"Is there anything wrong?" He asked and Zefany smiled, teasing Levi. 

"Is that your girlfriend??" Zefany asked which Levi turned to laugh lightly.

"Why are you laughing?" Amand asked, 

"No! nothing, she's just a friend of mine." He answered them, although the girls weren't really convinced. 

He sighed.

If only his colleagues knew. He isn't what they're thinking about. 

"Girls leave Levi alone," Robin shoved the girls away.

"Oh, come on you look just attractive as Mr. Jaxon, Levi, it's impossible for you to not have a girlfriend!" Zefany huffed. 

"I'm sure Mr. Carson here is not interested in any relationships, am I right?" Robin asked him and he nervously nodded. 

Levi doesn't know what to say? He's very speechless about what his colleagues think of him, but what was more suspicious about was feeling awkward when Robin put an arm around his neck. He's not liking it which is making an uncomfortable feeling for him, but he needs to shrug it off since no one in this room know about his genuine feelings, he might offend them if he does so. 

Just when he was about to speak, a sudden deep voice interrupts their conversation that's making butterflies in his stomach fly out of a strong connection that's making him nervous. Levi wasn't expecting him to arrive, he thought they were finished closing the deal? What does Mr. Jaxon want now?

In an instant everyone stood formally and lowered their heads to their superior boss, Levi on the other side kept looking straight at Jaxon's eyes whose expression is as dark as a shade. Mr. Jaxon saw what Robin did to Levi that's making him unconsciously mad. He looked at Levi and then handed some more papers after receiving another deal from his investor, he's impressed of Levi's works that kept him even more interested since in their college days. Levi was a competitive person and is not that easy to breakdown, that's why he was very surprised that day he found Levi drinking at the bar and talked about his problems that made him take Levi into his company. 

Seeing Levi froze the minute he spoke made Jaxon happy and instead of smiling he grinned at him, making sure that Levi would get his expression and message through his eyes.

"What are you doing?" He asked coldly, his deep voice echoing around the office. 

"N-Nothing, we were just overwhelmed about the project, sir." Robin answered him and the stare at him for a while, it could be possible that this man in front of him might be interested to Levi as well.
