CHAPTER 14

Samara

I was about to call Chrollo when they shut the door behind me. The dean called me to sit in front of him. I didn't hear their conversation though. Why does my sense of hearing become heightened sometimes? I should read about that in the library later. That is not freaking normal.

"Good morning, Ms. Saxon. Samara Ivy Saxon, right?" the dean asked.

"Yes, dean. Can I get my schedules?" I asked.

"Calm down, Ms. Saxon. Don't be in a hurry. I need to ask you few questions first," he said. "By the way, I am Dean Salome Fanglon. I am in charge of the tertiary department."

I nodded at what he said. Tertiary department? Maybe that is a college in here. The secondary is a high school in my world.

He gave me a paper and I gladly accepted it. It contained my schedule and the classes I will go to. He scoffed that got my attention.

"I will explain to you the system of our school. We are entirely different from your world, Ms. Saxon. You need to adjust a lot in here but we will guide you alongside the royalties you are with. Tell me if anything bad happens to you inside the school premises and if students are being mean towards you. Always remember that we treat all students here fairly. Royalties get suspensions too," the dean explained.

That is great, they treat students fairly. I am happy to hear that they are not like Theodore University's faculty. They are the worst.

"Regarding our grade level designation, there are primary learners, secondary learners, and the tertiary learners here in the academy. You belong to the level of tertiary learners and youll take the same classes as the royalties. The subjects you will take here are more on our world's history, monarch system, ancient mythology, way of speaking, fashion class, etiquette class, physical education, general mathematics, the biology of our world, chemistry, physics, and more subjects to come. You will not take all of that at once, of course. You will take that by semester and we have two semesters. Also, your section will depend on how you will rank on the overall ranking of the tertiary level. The rankings not only about intelligence, it also involves students physical strength. Study hard Ms. Saxon," he explained.

I will take a hell lot of subjects. I need to breathe, there are too many. But I need to study, I can also apply this when I get back to my world. Also, I will surely belong to the lowest section. I can't beat the strength of vampires.

"Thanks, dean. That will be a lot to take but I know I can cope up," I said while smiling.

"That is good, Ms. Saxon. You can go now and proceed to the tertiary level orientation. Also, you will go with the section of the royalties. For a month you will go with Princess Lianna, Prince Karine, and Prince Chrollo. Have fun," the dean said.

I thanked him before standing up and opening the door. I walked out of the office and saw Chrollo looking at me. I looked to my left and right but Karine and Lia were not there.

"They are at the student council. You will go with me," he said.

"Girls will surely hate me for being with you. They will see me like a b***h again," I said.

"Tsk, don't be affected by them," he said and pulled my arm. "Let's go. You don't want to stand up during the whole orientation, right?"

We walked and he let go of my arm. Like what I said, students, specifically girls, started looking at us. Some just walked past me, but there are really some who took their time to look at me from head to toe. And also boys, some winked at me when Chrollo was not looking. Here come the school playboys.

When we entered the auditorium a beautiful vampire blocked our entrance. She was smiling from ear to ear while looking at Chrollo. And when she saw me, her smile disappeared.

"Who are you?" she asked.

"I don't know," I answered. I should not tell my name. She looks like the Queen B. I need to be wary of her. I don't know, maybe some days from now she will spill eggs and flour all over my body. I will surely beat the hell out of her if she is a human.

"Don't you know me, huh? You lowly peasant. I am Princess–"

"Don't call her a lowly peasant, Sapphire. Get out of our way. We need to find seats. Stop following me," Chrollo said coldly.

"Why? Don't you want to be with me? I am even prettier than her! Sit with me!" she almost shouted.

I can't believe it. This Sapphire girl is having a tantrum in front of Chrollo. I don't know if its her act to look cute in front of him.

"Let's go. Don't mind her," Chrollo said and grabbed my arm.

Sapphire looked at Chrollo's hand while holding my arm. She looked at me and showed her red glowing eyes. I diverted my gaze. I should avoid her, she is a princess. Beating her means a death sentence for me.

We found our seats in front. It was already reserved by Lia and Karine. We sat in the middle of them. My position is beside Lia while Chrollo is on my other side, and Karine is at Chrollo's left.

"Lia, I saw another princess earlier. Her name is Sapphire. How come your kingdom has another princess?" I asked.

"She is from another kingdom. They are studying here because of some subjects that are not available in their kingdom. Our school taught more about the monarch system which is good for the next king and queen of their kingdom," she explained. "And also, beware of that b***h. She is the real b***h, her whole body screams bitterness. I don't like her because she is plastic. She acts so nice when I am with Chrollo. She likes Chrollo a lot but Chrollo does not like her. And now that she saw you with my brother, she is surely boiling with jealousy right now."

That explains all of it. Well, I expected that. There are too many Chrollo admirers in this academy, its sad that theyre fooled by this mans good looks. They should try spending a week with him, Im sure they wont like him as much after finding out how much of an arrogant prick he is. I bet Karine also has a lot of admirers like his brother, hanging out with him on campus grounds will be the death of me. I should stick with Lia more often to avoid trouble.

The dean continued speaking. There is a video playing on the screen. I watched it and it is the introduction of their school. The upgrades, new rooms, and activity centers they made. There are rooms in here. Dorms, specifically.

"Lia, do we need to take dorm rooms? The castle is near from here," I asked.

"Yeah, we need to. Everyone should stay inside the campus for the whole month unless there is a monthly break. It is done for everyone's safety. There might be too many outsiders and also the school avoids the Alahuran Troupe. They are dangerous. If you encounter one, run, Samara. Call us," she said.

Alahuran Troupe, I never heard of it from Chrollo or Karine. It sounds like a terrorist group. I really should be careful if they are. There are too many terrorists in my world and they are merciless. Like killing people is their hobby.

"What is Alahuran Troupe? Are they terrorists or something?" I whispered to Lia.

"Sort of. They are a dangerous group that brings mass destruction. They practice dark magic," Lia said.

"Oh, they are witches–"

Chrollo held my cheek and moved it to look at the front. I lifted my eyebrow because of what he did. I am talking to Lia!

"Stop whispering you two. Eyes at the orientation. Talk about stuff later," he said.

I rolled my eyes at him. His eyebrow creased and grabbed my arm. He is looking at me with disbelief. I know that look, he wants to scold me for rolling my eyes at him.

"You too, stop flirting. Eyes at the orientation," Lia said mimicking her brother.

We both looked at her with disbelief. I almost jumped from my seat when popcorns landed on my lap. I almost thought that it was raining popcorn but I saw Princess Sapphire trying to flirt with Chrollo again. She leaned towards him.

"Hi, Chrollo. Do you want some popcorn? Today's orientation looks so lit, right?" Sapphire asked, trying to make a conversation with Chrollo.

"It is boring, get back to your seat–"

"Hey, beautiful. Remember me? We saw each other last time when you were with Chrollo," a familiar man interrupted.

"Yeah, you are–"

"Stop talking to them. Eyes at the orientation," Chrollo then interrupted me.

I pouted and looked at the front. The man who tried to talk to me was Qeen, the one Chrollo and I saw while we were having a tour in the kingdom.

Sapphire went back to her seat when a teacher told her to sit properly. I cleaned my skirt where Sapphire's popcorn fell. I know she did that on purpose. Luckily, it did not stain my skirt.

I listened to the orientation. It focused more on the upgrades and new things to expect in the academy. Dean Fanglon called the headteacher for the Tertiary Level. Shes Mrs. Celeste Phonory as how the dean introduced her.

"Like what happened to the previous grouping system we have, the top five will be each of the group's leaders. I will call the top ten students in front. The top six to ten students will be the group's assistant leaders. I will now call on the last year's top ten students," Mrs. Phonory said.

Names flashed on the big screen in front. She called on the top ten but I read it. Some of the names are hard to pronounce.

Top 1- Prince Chrollo Monrow Bloodtear

Top 2- Prince Qeen Anderson Baltair

Top 3- Prince Karine Monorick Bloodtear

Top 4- Prince Rome Howland

Top 5- Princess Crimson Lianna Bloodtear

Top 6- Princess Sapphire Samsonite Baltair

Top 7- Dylan Josh Clover

Top 8- Princess Sholei Hartwond

Top 9- Prince Sheen Anderson Voltuse

Top 10- Prince Shaun Sonader Voltuse

Almost all of them are princes and princesses. I wonder who is that Dylan Josh Clover, he seems so strong even though he is not a prince. Maybe his family is in the army or something.

"That is the top ten rankings from last school year. If you want to know the top 100 students, go to the school's bulletin board to see it again. We will start the process of dividing all of you into groups. Please wait for a while. Our school's crew will rearrange the stage for the pot ceremony," Mrs. Phonory said before going down the stage.

Curtains covered the stage just like what happens in theaters. I felt the need to urinate so I told Lia I will be out for a while. When I stood up Karine asked me where I am going.

"Where are you going?" he asked.

"To the bathroom," I answered.

"Let me accompany you-"

"Don't go with her, you are a man," Chrollo said while looking at Karine. "Lia, accompany Samara. Be here before the ceremony starts. "

Chrollo said that more like an order than a request to his younger siblings. He is really bossy and used to bossing vampires around, even me. Well, it is his nature. Maybe it is an attitude for the next king.

Lia and I walked to the exit. She pulled my arm and whispered to me.

"Are you in a secret relationship with Chrollo?" she whispered.

I looked at her with eyes wide. She laughed and looked at me with her silly grin.

"Stop joking around. We are not in a relationship. His heart is as hard as metal and he is cold-blooded. Don't expect me to have any romantic relationship with him," I said.

"You said so," Lia said in a sing-song tone.
